Restaurant Marcelino 16 — Restaurant in Barcelona

I don't know where to start. We were here in Barcelona for only 2 days and we came across this restaurant after a little research, visited the restaurant twice and loved it.

The sangria was amazing, the vine was so delicious. On the first day we ordered a glass of sangria and the portion was really big. On the second day we ordered the jar and we had 6-7 almost full glasses of sangria.

The paella was amazing. We talked about it all day after eating it. It's rich with sea food.

Now onto the TAPAS!!! We ordered 5 small sized tapas in total. We were wondering if the small sizes would be enough, they definitely were. Everything was delicious. We saw a lot of comments here about the russian salad. It was indeed amazing.

Finally, the staff.. They were very kind and helpful towards us. Lovely people!

Amazing Experience absoulute gourmet!!! I had an incredible time here over two days in Barcelona. This place serves the best paella I've ever eaten not just in taste, but in presentation too. I had also heard a lot about tapas, and they truly lived up to the hype absolutely delicious. The sangria? I don’t even have the words to describe it. It was just perfect. I ended up visiting this place twice, and honestly, if I could, I’d come here every day! If you're reading this review, stop checking other comments and just go – you’ll thank me later. A huge thank you to the staff and servers – they were all amazing. Great service, generous portions, and very affordable...

We stayed in Barcelona for 7 days and ate in many different restaurants, but I think Marcelino 16 was the best. Truly 5/5*. Why? First of all, it's a very "local" restaurant, where you see local people eat. When people were leaving, they were waving at chefs at the back and shouting goodbyes. So nice, it felt like home, not like any other restaurant where you are one of many, just coming and going. Secondly, the service was very kind and helpful. A chatty waitress, even if we spoke very little Spanish :) Lastly, prices were OK. Considering the food quality, I'd say they were great even. Everything was delicious! Saludos de los clientes...
