My wife has been following the owner’s journey after an Instagram video blew up with the Barcelona community overwhelmingly supporting her business. Ever since then, when we planned on making Barcelona one of our destinations for Europe, we had to make it down here.

After taking a tram from the busy Gothic Quarter to a quieter city center area, we walked around the neighborhood to find her store.

We had a chance to talk to the owner Lucia and she shared about that moment while also talking about her business. She explained every single product to us in English in great detail. She made us feel like special guests with the attention she gave us.

Her passion for the business is astonishing. She loves her job and you could tell.

Most of her cookies have a center filling that matches the profile of each cookie or it has chunks of toppings inside each cookie. Leaving each bite full of flavor.

We supported her by getting 4 cookies & - Lotus cheesecake bar. The cookie flavors were Kinder, “Nexe” (White Chocolate Raspberry), Red Velvet & Apple Pie.

Her cookies and cheesecake bar were all fantastic.

The apple pie cookie melts in your mouth with a heavy presence of gooey cinnamon apples with each bite of the cookie. This cookie slapped.

The Red Velvet cookie is very heavy on the cream cheese filling in the middle of the cookie. A must try for anyone loving red velvet.

The Lotus cheesecake bar on a stick was a delectable treat. The cheesecake crust was the note here with the Lotus undertones packing a punch.

The Nexe (White Chocolaye Raspberry) flavor hit on tons of levels. Being present with white chocolate chips throughout, the white chocolate drizzle and plentiful filling I thought this cookie would be my favorite. Then I tried the Kinder cookie.

One of the best if not the best cookie I’ve ever had. Ever.

The kinder filling was very plentiful and not overwhelming. This sweet treat tasted exactly like a kinder and made me wish I got a few more.

Lucia was so sweet enough to give us a discount because one of the cookies broke when putting it into the box.

Lucia is an awesome baker who makes phenomenal cookies. Starting from being a home based business to having her own shop, she expressed multiple times that she’s doing the thing she loves.

And that love does not go unnoticed.

Are you looking for a new addiction? Go to 'EL DESVÁN BAKERY'! I've heard so much about this place and the comments were all the same - IT'S YUMMY! So I decided to give it a try even though I'm not a huge fan of coockies. Anyway, El Desvan Bakery is located in Barcelona, right in the center and a few steps from the Rocafort metro and Gran Via de Les Corts Catalanes. The space is small and welcoming, there are no seats buti t is very functional. But let's move on to the most important part: cookies! I didn't think they could be that good! Now I understand why everyone is talking about it. The choice is very varied and satisfies all tastes, even the most exotic. Each biscuit costs 3.5 euros and some cost 4.5 euros (the special ones). I chose 4 cookies: one with raspberry and peanut butter, one with white chocolate, one with oreo cookies and another one with white natilla and coconut. The cookies are delicious and I loved them all, especially the last one which is absolutely my favorite (obviously it depends on personal tastes). I'm used to eating a lot, but with just one cookie I was full and satisfied. The flavor is very intense and the biscuit is crumbly at the right point. It is recommended to heat the cookie for a couple of seconds in the oven before eating it, to make it even more special.
