I give this restoran one star because one of the staff was rude, did not apologize and spoke badly about the visitors in the comments. I think that this once again shows what this person showed in person - a rude person who does not know how to do business. I am realy sorry, becouse here were wonderful ladies working with him who served us beautifully, was smiling and friendly. The food was delicious. If you want a good meal and to be covered with negativity, this is the place where u need to go :(
№2 Now I am adding to my comment after reading the comment left by the owner. He lied again and berated the man as well. The situation was as follows: Five of us came up to the restaurant, the man began to invite us in, we asked: Maybe there are some special offers if there are 5 of us? He responded, wrinkled his head: Well, okay, we will, come on in. And the dinner was delicious and the staff was good, but at the end when we were going to pay, our friend noticed that included in the price is sangria which they promised to remove from the bill. We decided to ask what the problem was, maybe there was some misunderstanding. and what the man told us was that he could never offer that and we were making it up, was quite aggressive. Five people heard him, clearly. He alone in the end turned everything over his side, with no apologies, but instead with insults. We paid for everything, but of course without a tip. It's a shame that the man does not see it as his fault.
№3 Too bad I can't respond to your comments, I can only add to mine. I am sorry that you are then offended that "uneducated people" (as you said) think your place is inappropriate to visit. If I didn't like your food, I would have every right not to pay for it, which I didn't. I also smiled at all of your waiters and wished them a good day. The only problem with your establishment is your behavior. Alas, it is. Please...
Read moreNow that we are residents of Barcelona (with the rest of our family living Stateside), my wife and I have started a new tradition of dining out for our midday meal on Christmas day. We were late making our reservation this year, though, and had to find someplace other than our regular. One with a good Christmas day menu. Enter Sedna...
I'll admit I was reluctant to choose Sedna at first, given that it is so near to the waterfront and therefore the "tourist-trap" area in Barcelona. Their menu for that day, although not a typical Catalán Christmas menu, looked pretty tasty. And. It. Was.
At €46 per person, the price was well within reason. The meal included a glass of cava (for all y'all that don't know, cava is what the French call "champagne" if it is produced from grapes grown in the Champagne region of France. Here in Catalonia, a sparkling white wine cannot be called "Cava" unless its grapes are grown here in this particular locality, capisci?) Anyway - we were served different hors d'oeuvres (buñuelos de bacallá, croquetas de jamón ibérico, a really amazing shrimp, and some fried mozzarella. All were absolutely delicious.
Our first course was a huge salad with smoked salmon. Every bite was astounding. There were various dried and fresh fruit in there. Some wonderful walnuts. Delicious cheese. ...oh yeah, and the salmon. Yum! By the end of that course, we were pretty much full and very content. ...and out came the second course, baked cod in a wonderful sauce. I enjoyed every last bite!
Unlike some other restaurants, Sedna did not include our beverages in the cost of the menu - they were extra. Nevertheless their prices were very fair, and the service was absolutely outstanding. I will not hesitate to book a table here...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE!! I seriously would give this place 0 stars if I could. Right off the bat i’ll just say this place gave me and my sister food poisoning that lasted several days and neither of us was feeling back to normal for at least a week. We suspect it was from the tuna tartare as we shared every other dish with a friend and she was fine. This was actually the least bad tasting dish so we didn’t suspect anything until later that night… I genuinely don’t know how this place has such high reviews (I highly suspect they may be buying them) but I was fooled and hope to prevent anyone else from making the same mistake. I’ve been studying in Barcelona since the beginning of January and this is easily the WORST PLACE i’ve been to. I picked it for my sisters last night visiting me as it had great reviews and people saying it was authentic, but it was a complete tourist trap and was very expensive compared to so many other great, authentic Spanish restaurants i’ve been to. Every dish ranged from just fine to very bad, and as mentioned earlier, the tuna tartare was the best flavor wise. Other dishes we got included the seafood paella, entrecôte steak, croquettes, baked Camembert, and fried shrimp. Service was fine but there was only one other group there the entire time (we went on a sunday evening so not a...
