Nestled in a bustling area, this charming little restaurant offers a delightful Japanese Peruvian dining experience despite its compact size. The lively atmosphere might be a bit overwhelming for some, but it adds to the vibrant energy of the place.

The culinary offerings are truly impressive, with each dish meticulously prepared. Our favourite was the duck black rice with poached eggs—a felicitous combination that left us craving more. We also enjoyed the enrraña twice, which was consistently great.

While the sushi didn’t quite hit the mark for us, it was still a pleasant addition to our meal. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to explore more of their exquisite plates. This restaurant is a must-try for anyone seeking a flavourful and memorable...

Shogoin brings Japanese-Peruvian Cuisine to Poblenou! It was a wonderful surprise it was to find the cozy Shogoin which beautifully delivered on Nikkei fare, a style rarely seen in Barcelona.

What the chef is doing at Shogoin a branch of Andean cuisine, a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese sensibilities that’s deeply ingrained into the South American country’s culinary ethos.

An amazing combination of acidity and bold flavors, fresh ingredients with unique presentation in a really nice atmosphere.

The friendly staff is ready to advise you on a daily choice of ceviche and you absolutely need to try the delicate soft shell crab and rice - just out of this world!

A real gem in Poblenou 🐠🦀 one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants...

We took the lunch menu: wakame salad and quinoa salad as starters (very good) followed by a beef plate and terryake salmon (delicious). For desert we had the matcha tiramisu and yohurt with honey (very small and average). The food was of high quality and everything tasted very good. The portions were a bit small.

I put 3 stars for service because it was fast but not very friendly. I also put 3 stars for atmosphere because it was a bit cold and the decoration is quite average. I will return because I loved the food and I recommend this place for anyone who wants a delicious...
