Varela — Restaurant in Barcelona

It’s always great to have a good local restaurant in the area you live in. Where you can become a regular customer, where you know the food is always going to be delicious and most importantly, what makes restaurants last through time, where you know the quality of the ingredients and the final taste on your plate will always be exactly the same.

Lots of great dishes to choose from but I will say as croquettes are very popular in Barcelona that they make the best ham croquettes in the city (not oily at all and perfect texture) - and I’ve tasted a lot of croquettes.

A place I definitely recommend. Went there many times, and will come back. Food is always good. The menu has some little gem such as duck confit cannelloli, or ham croquets (some of the best I've tasted so far in Barcelona) The beef sirloin is very good too. The daily dishes are varied.
