I've been here twice now and the first time the food was delicious, however early hours the following morning I started to vomit and continued to be sick the next day. Now, I don't know if it was related to this restaurant or if I had a bug, but it put me off from eating here as well as eating shiitake mushrooms for a long time.
Recently I decided it was time to give them another chance. I ordered something different, the vegan crepe, which unfortunately also has shiitake mushrooms but I thought I'd give it a go since it had other ingredients. My boyfriend's food arrived, then the people sat next to us and another table who arrived after got their food. The waiter only said something when he saw me trying to catch his attention. He told me that the chef had made a non-vegan version and had to make another one. Ok fine, mistakes happen, but why didn't he tell me something before and why didn't they make my second dish before everyone else? Surely this should be a priority and good customer service? He didn't even seem apologetic.
The food finally arrived and it was huge. The crepe comes filled with tofu, shittake & bean sprouts, on the side lettuce, mint, soya sauce and a sweet sauce. I put the lettuce and sauce inside to add more flavour. The crepe itself is crispy but I would have preferred it to be a bit softer, I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be. I liked eating this but would have like a bit more chili and I wonder if it would be easier to eat if it'd be wrapped up with all the ingredients already put together.
All in all I actually like this place, they have quite a few vegan options, but I feel they lack diversity. They contain the same ingredients. Maybe they could add some Jackfruit or textured protein as everything has tofu or shiitake and I'm not a huge fan of either. I would also love to see a vegan Pho on their menu. Their customer service also...

UPDATE : 2025 I can no longer recommend this restaurant for authentic Vietnamese food. They have changed everything for the worse. The traditional Vietnamese dishes are no longer authentic Vietnamese. Apparently, the reason is that they have a new owner. Why would you put Thai peanut sauce in a Vietnamese dish? I had to apologize to my family for taking them here. Very disappointed Why did you put Thai peanut sauce with the fried egg roll noodle dish that I ordered? 100% not vietnamese. The chicken meat seems like it was reheat from the day before.

Old Review I'm Vietnamese from California so I have the right to give this place 5 stars. The staff was very polite and friendly. The food was authentic Vietnamese. Free local beer or wine? Unheard of in the US!
Update- June 2023
My sister ate here . She loved it! She was craving for Vietnamese food. When you are in Barcelona, craving for authentic Vietnamese food, this...
Read moreWe went here without a reservation just because this place has been close to where we stayed. So we got a table but we had to wait. Wait to be served, even while 3-4 other tables paid and other people got seated or served. That was the only pity and is the reason for one star less. The waiter himself was very friendly. After we ordered drinks came in around 10mins. Food took a while because that place was very busy! We good the summer rolls as a starter, Shrimps in spicy peanut sauce as one of the main dishes and a noodle dish which was not spicy to share. Forgot the name of the last one. The spicy peanut dish was really spicy. Didn't expect the food being originally spicy, because food in Germany never is. But I loved it. For my friend it was way too spicy. But she loved the other dish. The taste of the drinks and especially the food was amazing. I have lived in Asia for a while and I...
