Khao Thai — Restaurant in Barcelona

Everybody was happy with their food but I was very disappointed. I had the wok with thai rice and there are some ingredients I can't have so I asked them to remove them (peppers, garlic and onions) and they brought me a plate of steamed veggies, a bit of cashew nuts, and shrimp with my steamed rice. It wasn't tasty at all and veggies were barely cooked. I had to ask salt, olive oil and soy sauce to make it decent. But it would have tasted better if it was properly done in the woke, which clearly wasn't. I felt like because I have some food intolerance and made some request, the cook didn't bother and just put everything in the plate barely cooking it. My husband asked to not make it less greasy but there is a difference between less greasy and completely plane. They could have put soy, a bit of olive oil, like I added afterwards. But it would have tasted better if it was done while cooking. The seating wasn't great either as we were 5 on a table for 4. So it didn't feel comfortable. Service was good though, they provided us with the things we asked, they were quiet efficient. The quality of the ingredients was good too, my shrimps were big and they put a lot of it, so that was nice. Tried this place for lunch, got their lunch menu and also ordered a pho pia sod - the fresh spring roll which was really disappointing, the wrapper was hard and chewy, couldn’t cut it with the knife nor with a bite, told the waiter and returned plate. All he said was he was sorry, he didn’t even bother to change the rolls. To my surprise when I asked for the bill I was charged for the spring rolls. The owner was very stubborn and rude. He insisted, since I ordered it I pay for it. I have had these rolls ever since I was a kid and never has it been so bad, he just refused. Overall very tasty food and good atmosphere. Unfortunately the chicken inside the yellow curry was not fully cooked and had a few pieces that were still raw. They were at the bottom of the dish and we found them after we ate a portion of the dish. We sent the dish back and expected it to be taken off the final bill. What we found it was not taken off the final bill and the restaurant managers argued with me and were visibly angered by me asking to have it taken off the final bill.
