First, we were told they couldn't do individual servings of paella and then the person next to us was served an individual portion. Second, they weren't serving the full menu at the time we were seated and the server didn't tell us this until after we ordered our appetizers. I'm vegetarian and this meant I could only eat my salad appetizer and didn't get to have any paella (the reason we came to this restaurant). Third, after we were served our food, our server disappeared for 30+ minutes. We got to the point where we had finished eating, other servers cleared our plates, came back and asked if we wanted dessert/coffee, served other tables around us multiple courses, and we STILL hadn't seen our server once. We went into the restaurant to find him (from the patio) and asked for the check and he said "yeah yeah" and then still didn't come out. We ended up flagging down another server to ask for the check and left. Overall frustrating and bad experience. My friends enjoyed their seafood paella but didn't appreciate that it was €22/per person and "there's a 2 person minimum" (supposedly). My salad appetizer was bad too, it tasted like the lettuce/greens hadn't been washed and tasted dirty.

Read moreI'm torn. I really wanted to like this place. The location under the boardwalk, in the beach, is amazing. But the servers put a very bad taste in my mouth. I felt like I was in the worst part of Patis. Rude, throwing things down (placing with a loud noise), and very abrasive. It was non-prime, and there were just as many workers as there were tables... so it wasn't be a use they were rushed.
Had some crusting, salad, croquettes, and of course Paella. I'd have to say that the best thing I tasted was the red-prawn croquettes, followed by the crusting. The seafood paella was OK.... tasted like they used ocean water as their liquid. Normally you can differentiate flavors in Paella, but this was ol erwhelming seafood/salt water.
A note: this is our first paella here in Madrid, so maybe that's the local flavor, but to be honest, the paella in Madrid we tried, as well as Lisbon were markedly better.
If that's the Barcelona way, I guess I won't be eating paella here. Guess we'll find...
Read moreDO NOT RECOMMEND! Mediocre, overpriced food with very poor service: Awful service, the waitresses were clearly annoyed with their job, it takes forever to order and even more to get new drinks or ask for additionals. They charge you (without any advice) 10% more on the menu if you sit outside. We were placed outside without any notice on the price increase (I realized it when the bill came) It is a restaurant for tourists, you dont see any local eating there, prices are too elevated for the food quality And finally the food...we had a seafood paella and it was a extremely SALTY rice, a full disappointment. I would have let everything pass if the food was good, but it wasn't! We were looking for a restaurant to have a really good paella, and looking at the reviews it seemed like a good choice, but it wasn't! Avoid it at all costs, you will find anywhere else...
