Service at this place is fairly quick. But most importantly every dish we ordered was so delicious. My personal favourite was the black rice sea food paella, every bite invited me to keep having more. The flavours of the dish complimented all the sea food in the dish really well. My second one would be the prawn skewers, there were 6 in one plate and they were super crispy and the tartar sauce that accompanied it
One thing to note, they do try and charge you a minimum of two people when you order the paella (double order) but if you order other tapas selections they would usually allow a single order of the paella.
Their sangria's weren't too sweet but they were also in a medium glass compared to other places. My usual expectations is for it to be in a balloon glass. But I did like the variety of fresh fruits that were available for this drink.
There is outdoor and indoor seating available. Seating indoors does have large glass windows and is facing the beach. There is also a rooftop option available which we did not use but there is a surcharge for this. Overall we loved the ambiance and music. The service was also excellent, our server was prompt and friendly. I would love to come back to this...
Read moreThe location right at the beach is wonderful. This is, what determines the prices here. Service was good and attentive. We didn't reserve but still got a table right at the beach. Waiters were quick and helpful. The only downside was, that food didn't come together but individually whenever something was ready, so we that felt not professional. We also didn't get any olives to nibble or anything like that.
Food was pretty average. We had Entrecote, vegan chicken and chicken taco tapas. Don't expect a plate full if you're hungry. Don't expect the meat to be spectacular. It was well cooked (medium rare as ordered) but a bit chewy. Vegan chicken was interesting and the tapas ok but not really anything special. Essentially, you're not paying for the food here but for the location. There are other places near the water in Barcelona where you pay 1/3 less for higher quality, but maybe not asking this part...
Read moreWonderful! We wanted a spot on the beach with great food and found it! The service was friendly, quick but unobtrusive. Marife was our server and her recommendations and service in general were perfect. We had the tomato bread, which had crisp, light toast served with the tomato mixture on the side. I loved it! And then the confit artichoke hearts with romesco. Probably the best artichoke hearts I’ve ever had. One of the four, the largest, was more bitter than the others, so if you don’t love one of them, taste the others. Finally, the cod (salt cod) with ratatouille was cooked nicely and really tasty. The wines by the glass were delicious too (cava, rosé, and Tempranillo). The terrace is right on the beach, and a gentleman played guitar and sang quietly nearby. I think he was hired by the restaurant possibly since he didn’t have a tip hat. It was a really nice touch. I want to come back...
