to start off some people need to learn what nigiri is before ordering it because way too many bad reviews about a classic nigiri, anyway i wanted sushi and my boyfriend said it was a waste so we made a compromise and said we could only get all you can eat, sceptical i agreed thinking that sometimes the quality of food goes down when it’s all you can eat ESPECIALLY important when eating raw fish… we arrived ready to murder the CAN EAT aspect of an all you can eat meal and we’re greeted by the most lovely waitress with a lovely view of the food coming out of the kitchen. excitedly we made our first order (out of four) and we’re SHOCKED at the quality of everything that quickly arrived out of the kitchen. by order number 3 we were excitedly picking our favourite options while being perfectly content but also cautious knowing that this final order would maybe defeat us. we finished our meal with a delicious mochi and i am leaving this restaurant a well deserved perfect review, i respect everything they do and all of their rules - including the €3.50 for every unfinished order rule and also the please drink with your meal rule. amazing place if you’re in barcelona and you want nice sushi definitely come here :) ps sushi cake was so incredible...

I had the pleasure of visiting Yamada Sushi Restaurant with my family on New Years’ Eve, on our first day in Barcelona. We were searching for somewhere that was open, and that wouldn’t make us order from a set menu which cost an arm and a leg, so when we stumbled across Yamada, it was a godsend!

The whole restaurant was beautifully welcoming in terms of ambience; clean and modern, while still maintaining a definite unique personality. The waiters were wonderfully helpful and kind, and very patient with our limited Catalan; with a bit of miming thrown into the mix, we made communication work! The menu had photos for every dish as well, which was very useful.

The food was absolutely delicious. It was truly some of the best sushi I’ve ever had; very fresh, cooked perfectly, and with top notch ingredients! It was wonderfully priced, too, at only €4.00 a plate. The plates were fairly small, but still large enough for us to all taste each other’s dishes, and certainly very fairly sized for the price! The four of us ordered 11 small plates, coming to €44.00, and left very happy, our hunger sated without being at all overfull.

I went to eat there at lunchtime. quite disappointed with my experience. the service was very bad and it's not at all the staff's fault, since she was running around the restaurant and trying to improve their service as best she could. I saw a staff give 100% for the service however there were only 2 for the restaurants. The piles of plates on my table kept piling up. the waitress did the best she could but they probably want to save money to have fewer servers, but it took me 1h30 to receive all my dishes. Food acceptable although not very hot, it seemed that the meals had been ready for a while and that they were served to me late. I received my dishes in around 15 minutes, which is a long time for very small portions. I did not receive everything I ordered probably due to lack of people and organization. very bad service but it's really not the fault of the employee but of the employer. please calculate a minimum of 2€50 (water) more per person for the compulsory drink for...
