Ok, so here’s the thing. I travel excessively for work all over the world. Whichever city I am in, no matter how far from the sea, I will eat sushi about twice a week. It scratches an itch that pizza, pasta and burgers cannot even get close to. I am very used to really enjoying very average sushi. It makes me happy. What we have at Yamadori is not that. I was taken here by a good friend, a local who recommended the place as somewhere they have been many times over a long period with their family and friends. The Yakisoba was overly creamy, and had almost no meat. The seafood” rice contained maybe 4 miniature shrimp and not much else. In short, it was short on protein, and with mediocre flavors, and with this considered, the price was also unreasonably high for what you get.
If you do decide to go, I recommend trying the shrimp gyoza - it...
