What I am about to write was said directly to the owner on the evening of one of the worst dinner I had not just in Benidorm but generally in my life. We arrived at 9pm and we had to wait 45 minutes before we could order. There weren’t a lot of people, but there was just one waiter who was overly stressed. We were treated as second class clients by him - in 45 minutes of waiting, he didn’t ask if we wanted to drink . We just waited and to be honest, we enjoyed the view. We eventually managed to order and I specifically asked for the rice with the clean seafood version. The starter arrived but still no wine. We ordered a bottle which arrived after we got the rice. No ice was provided although everybody else got the ice for the wine. Then we realised that the rice was not the one we ordered and upon my question, all he said was “sorry” and left. So after 1,5h of wait we decided that it was not worth to eat something we didn’t want for 40€ and asked the bill. He charged us for the rice we didn’t even order. At that point I asked to speak with the owner and he claimed to be the owner. He immediately removed from our table the plates where some rice was on it (the rice comes directly in a big pot and you need to serve yourself) and claimed that we ate the rice showing the pot with missing rice. The point is, I realised the dish was not what we ordered only after I served it in the plate, but we didn’t even taste it. That was not a misunderstanding. When the owner arrived he could only speak Spanish or Italian and luckily, we speak italian and we could explain the situation. He removed the rice from the bill, but we were still charged for 41€ for a small salad with 3 slices of smoked salmon and a bottle of wine I had to rush drink because it was served after 1h. The view was stunning and the rice smelled good but you can get the same view everywhere in Benidorm and go to a restaurant with a more...
Read moreAs I have visited hundreds of restaurants I must comment on this one. I red reviews first and thought I thought that it shall be nice experience. Food we had was absolutely normal but price was just too high for the quality. Service good BUT after I saw that the waitress are playing with dom other customers dogs without cleaning their hands afterwards its unacceptable! I love animals but this sort of behaviour is absurd! Drinks: to pay 15€ for sangria that is mixed with Fanta! is what? Distasteful... this restaurant should at least serve it with real juice. There are oranges growing all over the city! Next thing: Pina colada, well for 10€ I want to feel pineapple! Not a chance, lots of ice, (costs noghing) milk cream and coconut but no pineapple flavor! Last thing: if the client finishes his food, the plates with overlefts should be taken away and a simple question should come offering desserts. Well. After a long time I do NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. Unless you really want the see and...
Read moreWe found this little Benidorm Gem. This restaurant is top notch. We travel all over the world for business and leisure. The location is on a headland right next to the sea. There is nothing else around, just this beautiful restaurant. The views are spectacular. The food is fine dining but plenty of it. The daytime menu is 5 courses €30 which are beautifully presented, think Masterchef, and are bursting with flavour. We were full at the third course but the food was so delicious we could not stop. Wine cellar is amazing and prices from €18 to €500. We had the €18 Rioja and it was perfect. The music is 1950’s/60s Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles and the young Nora Jones. The Decor is fabulous, the owner has created a lovely ambience. Follow the road to the Benikaktus Hotel and it’s just a few yards after that. The service, just like the food, is first class. Tony the head waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine. We honestly cannot recommend this place enough. You will not be...
