Pinocchio Platja – Restaurant, Pizzeria, Cafeteria i Creperia — Restaurant in Benidorm

Named Aptly as the staff team tell lies. We visited this pizza restaurant and ordered five pizza’s I ordered a additional portion of anchovies to be added to mine at one euro per serving.

Everything was fine except my pizza came without the anchovies I returned the pizza to the cook and asked if they would put some anchovies on the pizza and was told that was not a problem I returned to my seat and waited for the pizza to be delivered back with the additional anchovies.

My pizza was returned with anchovies but the anchovies we cold as in out of a jar/tin. I called a member of staff over to say that they would warm up the anchovies as the should be cooked into the pizza I was told that that’s how they serve them in this establishment I said in all the years I’ve ever had a pizza that I have never been given them cold they they agreed to put them back into the oven just to melt the anchovies as this gives them a distinct taste. I then waited for my order to be returned it was returned with the anchovies slightly warmed. As you can imagine I didn’t enjoy the pizza as I had to argue about the cooking process and only ate one third of the pizza It wouldn’t be so bad but being lied to and treated with contempt ruined my meal.

On my way out I picked up a menu and there is a picture of a pizza with cooked anchovies advertising what you can expect. VERY BAD TO LIE TO CUSTOMERS AND TRY TO BLUFF YOUR MISTAKES AWAY. The food truck Pinocchio had at the eurovision event last night was and absolute disgrace and should never be allowed to open again.

Throwing as many pizza slices into 2 tiny ovens as possible, meaning when they came out they were cold and uncooked. The queue had maybe 5 people? If you can't manage a queue of that size at a huge event you're doing something seriously wrong.

Everyone in the queue had to wait at least half an hour for a slice of pizza, the person in front of us got there's, took a bite out of it and realised it was cold so gave them back. The workers then put the food (which already had bites taken out of it) back in the oven on top of all the other slices. They've obviously never heard of food hygiene.

While we waited a man arrived on a scooter with 2 huge bin bags, which turned out to have THE PIZZAS WAITING TO BE COOKED??? What an absolutely disgusting place, transporting pizzas, completely bare, in a plastic bin bag! They should never be allowed open again.

After our long wait we finally got our slices, which were cold, uncooked and absolutely disgusting. If I knew how to report somebody to food hygiene places, this place would be shut down. No respect for people's health,...

Shockingly rude service. From the moment we sat down, the waiter’s attitude was dismissive and unkind. He made me repeat my order even though he clearly understood, then brought the wrong food for my friend. When she had a sealed bottle of water on the table, he abruptly told her to take it away in a very unpleasant manner.

We asked for a table suitable for four people and were moved to the far end of the restaurant, while Spanish groups were given better seats in the middle. The contrast in treatment was blatant. As paying customers, we expected at least basic courtesy — instead, we were made to feel unwelcome and looked down on.
