This restaurant certainly lives up to its award listings. Done in a classic style that is both interesting and comfortable.

The menu reflects the province's specialties and heritage. We started our meal with a red bean dish laced with morcilla and sausage, spices. Very well done. Our main dish was the Cordero lechal. Roasted to perfection. We finished with two different desserts and were not disappointed.

The wait staff is friendly, informative and accommodating. They answered questions and made suggestions. We shared our bean dish and there was no fuss about providing extra bowls and spoons.

My only suggestion would be that when a salad is substituted for the typical potatoes that accompany the lamb, the salad should be something more than iceberg lettuce and onions. The menu's salad selections themselves are wonderful. So a mini version of one of them might be more appropriate and appealing. This is a minor critique, believe me.

The food served there is really nice, BUT the waiters there, namely the women, so inpolite and with no sens of awareness, I felt really unwelcome by this women.

We ordered some confit de lamb, with vegetables, BUT the dish was served wit RISOTTO?

Absolutely not what was on the meny. Got it changes with an quite aggrassive tone. Again the cooked meal was very good, the chefs are really good.

Ordering a partridge but in the meal we found a metal hail and alot of bone splinters. Please tell your customers, it is wild shot that is served. Tooth insurance you know..

Fuimos allí porque es de los que más fama tienen en Burgos, fuimos sin reservar y nos pusieron en la planta baja en una mesa del último comedor. Lo que no sabíamos era que ese no era el restaurante sino que era la cafetería ( esto lo supimos al ver el ticket final), lo que supone que la carta no sea exactamente la misma que la que habíamos visto en internet. Cuando lo preguntamos nos dijeron que había algunas variaciones con el restaurante del piso de arriba. Es cierto que para ser una " simple" cafetería, es un poco cara, pero claro sin haber ido al restaurante entiendo que el servicio será parecido en ambos... Todo de usted, señores, y te dan a probar el vino... Ese trato nos dieron en la cafetería... Pero algo que me llamó la atención es que no nos explicasen que no íbamos a comer en el restaurante, lo mismo que cuando alguien preguntaba si se podía comer en las mesas que estaban cerca de las nuestras pero que no pertenecian al comedor, que el camarero, con hastío, respondía que tenían que preguntar en barra. La verdad es que ellos tendrán muy claro como es su negocio, como lo tienen organizado y qué es qué, pero tienen que entender que la gente de fuera no tiene por qué saberlo, y que puede resultar confuso. Si yo pregunto si hay sitio para 2 para comer y me dicen que en el comedor del fondo, no tengo porqué saber que eso es la cafetería y que no tiene la misma carta que el restaurante. Además de esto algo que no me gustó, es que lo mismo que el vino te lo abren en la mesa y te dan a probar, que la botella de agua de vidrio la traigan abierta. Yo también quiero saber que me vas a cobrar un agua que no has rellenado del grifo. Como parte positiva el cordero estaba de muerte!!! Y el arroz con leche increíble!!! El pan aunque especial me resultó aceitoso. No creo que volviese la verdad, aunque ya puedo decir...
