Restaurante Luis — Restaurant in Calvià

Starter was extremely dry, tasteless; we had the vitello tonnato. The meet was low quality and very dry. The tuna sauce was lacking flavour and quantity.

The mains; we all had the steak (Solomillo de Vaca Madurado) each being 29€… the steak cut was very nice. The quality was good although two out of the four steaks were cooked wrong, as we had asked for two medium-done steaks and these were very bloody.. to the point that one had to be sent back.

The garnishes served with the steak are two baby potatoes cut in half with two sticks of carrots.

The service: 6.5 - lack of attention.

The venue: Tacky… for the price tag. Much better “authentic” out there. / on the island.

Do yourself a favour and enjoy a proper authentic high quality steak in palma.. (same price but much better value for money) this restaurant is being catered to the “quick tourists” stopping by locally. This is my honest review as a born Mallorcan. I went as I believed this restaurant was proper...

We unfortunately didn't have the best experience at Luis. It was very quiet when we arrived and our waiter at first was very good, then he changed and only spoke to us in Spanish even though we obviously couldn't speak any so didn't understand. We ordered the fish, which was absolutely delicious and a bottle of wine which was €19 on the menu. The wine was delicious and as the restaurant became busier we didn't see the waiter at all so decided not to have dessert and asked for the bill. When it came they had charged us €49 for the wine. When we questioned this they said it was a mistake on the menu, despite the fact that the wine was €19. We insisted, as it was their mistake that they gave us the €30 back, which they did. I wonder how many other people they have caught out in...

This is one of our favourite restaurants near Illetas , we have stayed at the Hotel Zhero, immediately next door and at the Barcelo Albatros , a few minutes taxi drive away , numerous times and love going to this restaurant for a romantic dinner for two or for a leisurely lunch. The chateaubriand for two is to die for , with majorcan salted potatoes and seasonal veg , it is hard to beat. The service and price excellent and should be tried, Book your table in advance and enjoy.My choice for our anniversary and for my 50th birthday.Authentic...
