Absolutely Horrible Experience at Nova Restaurant

Despite its stunning location and beautiful ambiance, our experience at Nova Restaurant was a disaster, not because of the setting, but due to the abysmal service.

We ordered the A5 Wagyu with bogavante, but after an hour, our food still hadn't arrived, while others around us were enjoying their meals. I approached the manager, wearing a white shirt, at 8:30 pm on 8/13/24, to express my frustration. Before I could even explain, he dismissively said, "Whether you want to leave or stay, you still have to pay for it because this is a business."

I tried to calm down and returned to my table. My wife then approached the manager again, stating we wanted to leave. Only then did he realize their mistake and admit that our food had never been sent.

The manager's response was unacceptable. I expected a solution, but he ignored my concerns. It's essential to listen to guests and find solutions to problems. Charging me for a meal I never received would not have made a difference; we've traveled the world for a nice vacation, and this experience fell far short.

Were to begin? We had a booking for 2 people and specified we were bringing a baby. We got a perfect table with good amount of space to park the stroller by the side without blocking anyone’s path. The service through out the evening was especially meticulous. The view was nothing to scuff at and atmosphere was certainly alright, one of the better spots in the bay, but not over the top amazing. As for the food it was simply great. Everything was well described and marked if it included gluten, was vegetarian or vegan etc. There is simply something for everyone, and their meats and presentation of it is amazing. People that ate at a restaurant called monkeys(closed but the head chef now works here) might be familiar with the concept. The meat itself was presented only slightly seared on a wooden board and you were than allowed to finish it of to your liking on a hot stone tablet. Our tab was on the expensive side but we also had several items from the menu including 100g of A5 wagyu from Japan. Which was well priced all things considered. About over the counter price in my home country, so for me, at a restaurant an absolute luxury, but still really well priced, since it included the service and presentation.
