I'm am stunned, I am honestly lost for words. This is not my first visit, and the day to day menu isn't bad, it's Okey, fair quality, bit to pricey but the location makes up for it.
Yesterday we sat down for new years dinner. Good spirits, and great company. And honestly I did not have high expectations, but still you expect at least care and someone familiar with cooking to prepare your meal.
Even the cutlery was set at the table like an uneducated 6 year old had done it, spoons, forks all over the place. If you aspire to make it high end, please have the manors to at least educate yourself.
Food,
The starting soup, was a creamy soup, unrecognisable ingredients and just... Nothing, straight from a can
Ravioli with lobsters filling... Have no clue, no flavours, no salt, mainly a doughy lump with something cheap and an unrecognisable sauce.
Now, I'm sorry, but when someone writes, baby chicken.... What do you mean? A chicken is a god damn baby or have I lost my mind.... Stuffed with Foie Grass, with a bla bla bla pure.... Not even if you cooked that poor inbred infant of a bird on the surface of the sun or at the core of Chernobyls reactors would you be able to produce something that dry... If you put a lemon wedge in Sahara it would be considered well and profoundly irrigated in comparison to that dead "baby" bird
Foie Grass, if there was something remotely close to a Foie in that bird it must have been the "Paris Hilton" of all ducks, that was an absolute anorectic joke of a depressed liver, even Hannibal Lectors alcoholic guests would tasted better with some Chianti classic
Dessert, desert... Hard call, but they bought some cheap gas station muffins, ruined up some cheap supermarket cherbert, poured some condensed milk, sprinkled some sugar on top and voila,,,, Dog poop.
So far all good, but after 150€/person we and several other tables were to say to least not impressed after sending the food back 2 times, leaving it with nibbles, unable to eat due to the acute dehydration in order to avoid instant mummification (no balm)
The cherry on the cake was when the sweet manager told us after our constructive criticism to leave and never come back.
This was the first time they managed to surprise me, the idea of coming back had never occurred to anyone of us.
We were about to honour the final word of our separation, but then the esteemed owner insisted we would pay full price for his 2.50€ investment regardless of the complete embarrassment and also had the polite courtesy to inform us he new our kind...
You know, poor people only looking to score a free meal.
Well, without mentioning his origins, not even his arrogance and poor attitude can save that performance. The emperors new clothes and all that
Appalling, filthy, disgusting and quite frankly, I have never ever said this, please do not allow this atrocious establishment to remain open without a general warning
Middle-class nuevo riche tourists deserves at least something edible for the hard earned money. I would not take offence from a dog refusing to eat this and if someone serves it to a dog I would call authorities to report the abuse of the poor animal
Shame on you. Rude, arrogant and absolutely horrific.
I genuinely feel bad for the waitors who made a good job trying to save it.
Sr.Bruno Clean toilets in the future and the quality of your work will be recognised. The soils of an infant baby's diper is more suitable for human...
Read moreWorst restaurant experience ever, such a rude owner and terrible food. We went to celebrate New Year’s Eve where they had a set menu. The food was so bad, we sent it back and couldn’t eat a large part of it. When we complained to the manager we were told to leave and never come back. We were being very respectful and voiced our complaints discreetly but the managers response was so poor. As we prepared to leave the owner then stormed at us and told us we needed to pay the full price and then leave and never come back. I have visited several times previously and have found it an okay place, pricey but the food has been okay and the setting is nice. But I will for sure never return again. We were served food that tasted like it was straight from a can, and the driest chicken I have ever tasted with a pure that was advertised as containing fois grais, but I doubt it contained more than a sprinkle. I am not usually one to complain, and I can’t even remember if I have ever written a review before but this was so bad I just had to. When the four out of our party of five who ate meat sent the chicken back because it was so dry it tasted like chewing on flour, the waiter informed us that it is chicken, it is supposed to taste like that. To be fair to the waiters, I think they did their best but it was striking that they do not even know how to set a table with the correct cutlery, which would be fine for a mamas and papas style restaurant, but when you charge the prices you do at Bruno’s, I expect more. Up until the main course we had all just kept our quiet and giggled a bit about details like that, as we did not want to ruin a nice evening with friends, celebrating the end of the year. And had they just apologized for the food and reflected that on the bill, it wouldn’t have been more than a bad meal, which can happen. But when you are treated as poorly as we were by the manager and owner, shouting at us so the whole restaurant could hear because we had the audacity to complain, it becomes something more. Guests at other tables came up to us and said they agreed, the food was terrible and they wouldn’t even serve it to their dogs, but didn’t want to fall out with the owner so kept their thoughts to themselves. Such a terrible way to treat guests, and from what I can gather from other reviews it is a recurring thing. In my younger years I worked in restaurants in parallel with uni, and one of our party owns a restaurant himself, so we are not unfamiliar with the term customer service. Unfortunate Bruno definitely is. Would definitely never recommend for anyone to visit this restaurant, as I do not think such treatment and behavior should be condoned. Definitely...
Read moreDear Management, we are neighbors and frequent guests, living in the zone and decided after having dinner somewhere else: lets finish the evening and have a delicious cocktail at Bruno's cosy couch zone outside in the corner! That was today aprox. 1.5 ago. Unfortunately, that did not happen! "Señora no atendemos/servimos en esta zona eh" (Lady we are not serving at this zone, ok!) the female waiter said (I believe she was the head waiter due to her bossy manners with the other waiters) almost yelling at my partner, me and my little son. She said that in a rude and street talk way (from the distance just when we were sitting down - there was no "good evening" or whatsoever) and as if we were supposed to know this! The zone was fully lighted and equipped so how we were supposed to know? She saw that we had a little son (that's why I choosed that zone to be a little apart so he could fall asleep). Still, there was no way someone would bring us the drinks menu (I told her that we were just going to have two drinks). Not possible, we were asked by this lady (or yelled at) to go over to the bar. Even though I explained to her that due to my son (2 years old) we preferred to stay there and to not sit at the bar. Advise: if you do not have sufficient staff (waiters were running around like crazy, acting very professionally though, in order to be able to keep up with guest's demands) and therefore have to close certain areas of the restaurant, just mark them as closed or turn of the light, place a sign etc. Or just get another "jefa de sala" with a correct service attitude and friendly manners. We left without having had our cocktails of course! It's incredible and sad how the gastronomy sector on the island and everywhere is lacking staff, taking on board basically everybody! No matter what their formation, manners or customer service skills are. In-house Customer Service training strongly recommended. Good night! We will not disturb you...
