I love the food from Malaga. Being myself from here but living abroad, I can't wait to arrive here and start eating. At the same time, I must say that ones gets bored of always eating the same everywhere. That's why I was highly surprised when I saw this restaurant, Chicha, in a place like Frigiliana. The place was nicely decorated, with a Latin touch, and vivid music. We started with some aperitif, pisco sour, refreshing for a Jun day! Food was quite cheap, mostly taking into account the preparation of the dishes. Most of them were slow cooked and well elaborated dishes, with a nice influence from South and Central America, but at the same time with the stylish presentation and service of French cuisine, or perhaps Belgian. Actually the fact that the menu had some Belgian beers makes me think the cook was from there. After midnight this restaurant is for young people who like the night. Beers and shots and the aroma of relaxation. When I asked for a bottle of wine, the bartender was a little bit surprised. Wondered if we wanted to drink it there or take away. We sat and had a glass and took stock of our dilemma. We took the rest away. Perfectly polite and civil and not our place at all but open. The wine? Not the best, but not quibbling. Four stars anytime...
