I went to have lunch here with my wife Today. To start let’s talk about the food which is the most important aspect. Well, The Carmen Cannelloni were pretty bad, first it was like a blab of cheese melted over what is looked like some thin pasta filled with this gross “ground chicken” that not even people in jail get served. One word Horrible. To begin Cannelloni should ALWAYS be served as two pieces and they should be served with a sauces of meat across.. or at least that’s how I consider them to look. My wife ordered the Churrasco with Chimichurri that by the way had nothing to do with what is real Chimichurri.. The meat (Churrasco) under cooked and very chewy, the fries that came with it well.. the last thing they looked like was potatoes.. We also order a Sangria.. We to me was out of cheap cardboard box. The type of Sangria they sell at the supermarket for €1 the carton. The attention and I hate to do this to the guys. Was pretty bad and impersonal. My wife want it the stake a lil more cooked and they literally took 30 minutes to do so and when it came I was finished with this restaurant. I didn’t want even look at the deserts.. I simply want it the check and get the hell out of there. They will never...
Read moreOur family excursion to Casa Carmen in the bustling Miramar shopping mall of Fuengirola promised a tantalizing change of pace from our usual dining spots. Unfortunately, our expectations met with severe disappointment. Despite the restaurant's online claim of an 'always open' kitchen, we were left stranded in a long queue and were informed of a lengthy 50-minute wait as the kitchen had temporarily closed.
The chaotic environment was a stark contrast to the tranquil mealtime we had envisioned. Struggling to maintain control, the establishment seemed to crumble under the weight of its disorganization.
With this experience in mind, it's clear that there are a few key areas where Casa Carmen could make significant improvements. Ensuring that their kitchen hours align with what's advertised online would mitigate unnecessary waiting times and prevent disappointing eager patrons. With clear and honest communication, diners can plan their visit accordingly and set appropriate expectations.
Finally we will post an update later today, since we are coming back at 1PM to give Casa Carmen one more...
Read moreThe food: • 3 ⭐ - Sautéed chicken was dry with mushrooms and squash, no sauce and potato puré would have been a good option to make it less dry. Small portion, tasted okay, not much taste from the herbs. • 3 ⭐ -Japanese goysa, four pieces (okay - according to the size on the menu). It wasn't seard on the both and not fully steamed, tasted good. • 3 ⭐ - Salmon tartar, avocado and edamame. Low quality of salmon, only the scraps of the salmon, no whole pieces. The edamame was mush, and it looked like cat food. Would have been better if the individual parts were distinguishable. Taste okay, needed some seasoning. • 4 ⭐ - Cheesecake, creamy and blackcurrant sorbet with really berries. Good, nice and sweet with the freshness of the sorbet. • 4 ⭐ - Applecake with Burbon icecream. Homemade burbon icecream, creamy and a warm taste of the burbon. Mushy apple slices under a soft and slightly crunchy crust. Espresso, strong and not burnt.
Service okay, a bit disorganized, but expected as they were fully booked and under staffed. Very nice staff!
Looking forward to come back, when...
