One of my favorite spots in Granada LOL
I think I’m slowly learning a lesson that sometimes the simple and cheap eats are sometimes the best.
I loved it so much that I came here twice during my trip.
Food: the chicken shwarma is literally the best I’ve ever had. I’ve lived in nyc the epicenter of halal guys and this just blew it out the water. The first time I got a simple chicken over rice and the second time I got a durum, which is similar to a burrito. I loved it so much I tried to go there again in the morning before I left since Google said it’s open 24 hours but it was not open. The spicy sauce is also perfectly spiced. Not too overwhelming like NYC halal carts and perfectly smoky and spicy.
Service: this is more of a quick service restaurant rather than a sit down restaurant. The guys who work there are friendly and help get orders out fast. They asked me proactively about any modifications I would want. There’s a small counter where you can eat there if you’d like.
This place is also super affordable! The average meal here is 3-5 euros.
Go here you won’t be...
Read moreThis is, hands down, the greatest falafel shawarma that I have ever had the pleasure of eating. You must get it “completo” with egg and cheese. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated all of the vegetable filling options (beet enthusiasts: there are beets too!!!) I came to Granada in November and noticed this restaurant because the line was a block long at midnight. I knew it had to be good, so I returned the following day — and it was SO WORTH IT!! Just returned to Granada this weekend, and the falafel shawarma was just as good as I remember. The staff is so friendly, really could not recommend this place more. Please do yourself a favor...
Read moreGreat shawarma, and cheap, BUT we were very concerned with the lack of hygiene and Covid precautions. The cook was outside with a buddy, came in after us, didn't wash/sanitize his hands, and then proceeded to make our food with his hands. He also flipped the shawarma on the stove with his hands and then wrapped it up with hands. No gloves, no washing, nothing. It's akin to street food, sure, but in the Covid world, you just cannot work this way anymore. Kinda grossed us out. Would like to go back when they begin using...
