Overrated according to what we tasted that day. We were curious to go eat at a 5 star restaurant. The chef greeted us and unfortunately speaks very little english. We took the starter Kibbeh fritas which was dry, hard to cut, most probably re-heated, and with no sauce to join with it. The Biryani con pollo was dry and with little flavour, but the rice was amazing. The pinchitas de pollo was very tasty and definitely the best we ordered there. Lemonade with mint was crushing, i.e. excellent. The traffic on the street was speeding, very close to the terrace and noisy but out of hands of the owner.. We had to pay cash because he told us his electronic money terminal was not functioning. We had our doubts that he wanted us to pay cash since we only got an handwriting piece of paper as the invoice. Briefly, an average restaurant, thus explaining...

Although we overheard other patrons lauding their dinners, We were very disappointed. After an assortment of good, but not great, appetizers, we were served a dish we hadn’t ordered. After pointing out to the chef that we had ordered a chicken and rice dish with assorted spices, nuts and raisins and no cilantro, he served us a chicken and rice dish that had cilantro but none of the other ingredients. When I pointed out that again, this wasn’t the dish we had ordered, the chef responded that it was but that because some people don’t eat nuts he doesn’t add them but serves them on the side if you ask for them. This explanation made no sense, particularly since we were not told that the menu was inaccurate nor were we offered either the nuts or raisins. Finally we were advised that we had to pay cash even though there was a Visa sign...

Chef is a legend. That man knows how to feed a customer. Loaded us up with so much food that we missed our bus back to Madrid but was totally worth it.

Here's what we got (but honestly just go with what he recommends you tbh): Hummus with tahini. Comes with bread. Some of the best hummus I've ever had Fattoush salad. Very refreshing, olives and tomatoes hit different Uzzi, one chicken and one meat. Would recommend the chicken one over the meat one personally bc it's not ground up, but both are delicious and REALLY fill you up Kanafeh. Super gooey and syrupy but doesn't feel heavy bc no flour, a perfect dessert Lemonade with mint. Super refreshing, the mint really works well here

We were looking for a place to eat and we’re invited into this establishment by the owner. Typically I’m leery of this but he had such a warm and effusive non-aggressive manner we decided to try him out. (It didn’t hurt that someone eating at a table behind him was giving us a thumbs up). Boy am I glad we did. We were treated to the most unexpectedly, flavorful, fresh, and delicious meal we’d had in a while. I had the Sampler Platter as pictured with the house fresh made mint lemonade! Delicious (mostly plant based) and filling. Had the baklava for dessert which never disappoints but upon reading the reviews feel I must return for the knafeh! Would highly recommend you get off the tourist trail and try this hidden family owned gem.
