The name Bib-Rambla means "Gate of the River" because the square originally stood on the sandy bank of the river. In Moorish times festivals took place here, and later in Christian times bullfights. Over time, many changes have been made. Customs houses were built to control the imported spices and fabrics. The horse market was also held here. Currently, the square is surrounded by 19th-century tenement houses, shaded by lime trees and is the real center of social city life. The center of this charming square is decorated with a Baroque fountain with a statue of Neptune. - Nazwa Bib-Rambla oznacza "Bramę Rzeki", ponieważ plac początkowo stał na piaszczystym brzegu rzeki. W czasach mauretańskich odbywały się tu festiwale, a później w czasach chrześcijańskich walki byków. Z biegiem czasu dokonano wielu zmian. Zostały wybudowane domy celne, aby kontrolować przywożone przyprawy i tkaniny. Tutaj też odbywały się targi koni. Obecnie plac jest otoczony XIX-wiecznymi kamieniczkami, zacieniony lipami i jest prawdziwym centrum życia towarzyskiego miasta. Centrum tego uroczego placu zdobi barokowa fontanna, z posągiem Neptuna.

Didn’t read reviews before choosing this restaurant. Agree with the food reviews- yikes, not great! Service was good and the setting/decor is lovely (but I’m sure it is not to everyone’s taste). Only went for a beer or 2 and a snack (which turned out to be a not very good tempura vegetables) - this is why it got such a high score. But still - the setting is quite nice...

There's no drinks menu, so you don't know the cost up front and the drinks are really expensive. The food wasn't bad, though definitely not great for the price. Bread and a bit of spread is charged separately for each person. We also got charged €5 more than the total for some reason. Nobody spoke English, so no way to find out why, really. Do not recommend.

No Bueno!!!!!!!!!!!!! My first visit in Spain and this restaurant has poor and unpleasant service provided by incredibly rude staff , I was amazed by the level of poor attitude displayed. Me and my friends was not well welcomed when we entered the restaurant, the waiter forced us to leave by collecting my unfinished drink , and without prior information they were raising their voice very sarcastically saying we can't stay if we just ordered drinks. I was utterly disappointed by the lack of care towards customers , with overpriced drinks and charging us for tapas we did not order . The waitress was sarcastic, swearing in Spanish words that we did not understand, banging flatware and cups on the table forcing us to get the bill when my friend just started sipping her sangria, and forced her to take the drink and leave. We were emotionally disturbed and unhappy about our poor experience in the restaurant in this beautiful town of Granada. I urged everybody to avoid this unprofessional, rude, unpleasant establishment for unacceptable service and under average food. Porque eres tan rudo? No bueno :( :( :( :( :(...

I was disappointed by the service. I've never met a rude Spanish after spending two years of travelling, the waitress was the first ever.

My friend's beer was taken away before finishing and the bill was forced on us when we were not done. They did not mentioned that we were not allow to only drink in the restaurant, but if we were allowed to stay a little longer, we could have order something to eat too.(apparently we were kicked out as they poured one of my friend's sangria into a plastic cup). They blamed the boss for their service, which I do not see why should we be treated that way. The beer is 5.60€ for 0.5L. Too bloody expensive for a restaurant as such anyway.

It was a bad experience before leaving Granada. So sad, so...

The most terrible experience in a restaurant ever!!! I wish I could give a comment with 0 star! I should have first looked at the comments here in the maps!! I was attracted by their food menu with reasonable price (which turned out to be cheating us customers) and their warm welcome (dangerous, and would not let you think for one second), so I really really regret now! The food was too salty, and the actual charged price was 15% higher than that on the menu. Moreover, the drink was extremely expensive! The waiter asked you to order a drink without showing the menu of drinks. In the end, when I asked about this, the waiter said they don't have the menu for drinks!!...
