Avoid if possible (Especially if you are from a non European ethnicity)
I went with my family and I've had the worst experience I've had in my life at a restaurant.
A bit of background. I was a part of a tour package from Málaga who were recommended this restaurant by the guide. Our party of 6 including 2 kids were of Indian origin.
We reached the restaurant right when it opened at 12:00. We requested a more comfortable normal table for ourselves but were told by the hostess that only the high table with bar stools were available and the remaining tables were reserved. We also observed 2 other groups of Asians who came soon after were also seated at the same table. However we soon saw others of European origin being seated at the tables without any reservations. On confronting one of the waiters, they didn't have any explanation and ended up changing our seats to the regular table. As an observation, I also saw Europeans being served Tapas along with drinks but not the Asians (in not sure if something else was happening in the background)
Next came waiting for food. Despite telling that food would take 10-15 min, it took 35-45 minutes to come which left us with just 15 min to eat everything without missing our tour of Alhambra.
But the cherry on the cake was actually the service. The guy who was serving us managed to spill oil from food all over my bag and cap and ruined them. There was no action to rectify. The guy went away threw a couple of wet wipes in our direction and left! No offer to clean anything, no talk of compensation, nothing!!!
I have nothing against Spain or people from Spain. I had actually witnessed their hospitality when there was a national crisis a couple of days back. But the whole experience of Granada was ruined by this experience. All I can do is to promise never to visit this place again and urge others to stay clear...

We visited Los Manueles twice because we really enjoyed their food, however, on both occasions it seemed as if the servers were knowingly omitting explaining many of the unwritten rules of how their restaurant does tapas. On the first night not only that the servers were not on the same page with eachother regarding whether or not their restaurant does tapas, but once we were taken to a table we were told that due to there being a fiesta on that day they do not serve free tapas. Nonetheless we enjoyed their lovely sangria, the tasty meatball with sauce, and their mouth-watering croquette. On the second night, without being told that free tapas are not served at the regular dining tables but only at the tall bar tables, we once again felt deceived by the lack of communication or helpful servicing from the staff. This restaurant taught us valuable lessons regarding the free tapas of Granada, and how some places are looking to take advantage of the uninformed tourists. My advice for people who want to enjoy free tapas at Los Manueles is to say you're only there for drinks, and do not let the servers place you at a regular table, wait until the high...
Read moreAtrocious behaviour by a waitress who placed our group of 6 (including two small children) on the high chairs at the corner while telling us that the empty restaurant was fully reserved. A group of 4 Asian girls who reached at the same time as us were also asked to sit at the high chairs for the same reason. We were not given a menu card and were told to scan the QR code for the menu. All acceptable behaviour until we saw that the other customers who came there (all Caucasians) were seated at the main area of the restaurant, given the menu card and well served. We asked another waiter for a table in the main area explaining what the waitress had told us. He had a heated discussion with the waitress and then gave us a table at the main area. Our food was insanely delayed in spite of us asking how much time the food will take when we placed the order and being told - 10 minutes. Finally when the food came, the waiter ended up spilling oil from the dish onto our hats and bag. We had to eat in a rush and run to catch up with our tour group. This is our last day in Spain and it’s a pity that this one experience has ruined the incredible hospitality that we have experienced so...
