B on the rocks — Restaurant in Guía de Isora

Oh Dear. This wasn't the best experience, on this occasion. Greeted by a surly Rumanian? Waiter with a rather abrupt manner and promptly seated. Drinks arrived fairly quickly and the food order was taken within a few minutes. We have eaten here four or five times in the past and it has been very good. The atmosphere was a lot more relaxing and the staff a lot more engaging. We ordered a beef salad starter to share and the Icelandic cod with butter sauce for main. The starter never arrived but the main course turned up fairly quickly. We pointed out the error to the waitress and she tried to take the fish away. We insisted she leave it, we didn't want the fish to go back to the pass and to just forget the starter. A few minutes later she said the beef salad was now ready and we could have it with the Cod !! ??

While this was happening the couple next to us were clearly having an issue with the steaks they had ordered. The surly waiter was now involved but wasn't really listening to the complaint, just kept offering to replace the steak. Things were clearly getting a little heated, I could see the diner was furious. In the end they refused a replacement and asked for the bill. This really put a downer on the whole atmosphere. So much for a romantic night out. I felt so sorry for the couple next to us, they ended up with a large bill (no deductions), no food and a ruined evening. B on the Rocks in Alcalá, Tenerife, truly exceeded our expectations. We were a group of eight, and every single one of us agreed this was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had – a solid five stars.

The service was outstanding – warm, professional, and attentive. Every dish was perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the attention to detail was 100%. The drinks were also top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was both stylish and relaxed.

It was clear that the team behind this place takes great pride in every aspect – from the food to the service to the ambiance. This is a place we have visited now 2 times and would all gladly return to.

I came here with friends for a late lunch Mediterranean style!

The restaurant was so busy that the polite waiter asked us to have a seat and gave us a realistic expectation of waiting time.

Eventually we ordered our food and glad we displayed patience. For the food was among some of the best we had in the whole of Tenerife.

From tuna, to squids, chicken & steak we ordered the entire gamut including the 3 specials of the day. We came out as victors in the end; our stomachs thanking us for the forbearance and ignoring the rumbling.

After our food the waiter returned and thanked us for our time and gratefully offered us free desserts which were scrumptious.

This was the best staff experience and we all enjoyed the innovative menu.
