Don't be fooled by the prices. For the meat dishes, you will need to order "side dishes" from the tapas menu. We did not expect this but accepted it.
We ordered a couple of the tapas dishes and 4 of us wanted to order the Serloin steak. The waiter told us that we could order another big steak which was enough for 4 people. He told us it would be 1 kg of meat and would be more meat and cheaper.
All dishes (the tapas we ordered as sides and the main meat dishes the other two ordered) came out all together. After about 30 minutes after the first dish came out, we still had not received the big steak. When asked why it was taking so long, they asked in the kitchen who stated it was a mistake and they thought it was a second course (while the other meat dish had been brought out and finished at this point). The meat came out about 20 minutes after asking. All other dishes had been finished at this point. The steak that came out was about 50/50 meat and bone. The meat was about 60/40 meat and fat. All in all, each of the 4 people had less than 75gr of meat (according to the others in this group, this might actually still be generous :p). It also turned out that the price was actually higher than the 4 Serloin steaks (75 instead of 70).
After talking to the staff, we did receive half off of the big steak (and a shot each after). The food itself tasted very nice.
When we looked at the bill later, we also noticed an issue with the price of one of the drinks. One of us ordered two rosé wines. The first, she asked for the wine which costs €3.50. When she ordered the second, she asked for "another rosé" and apparently received the most expensive per glass rosé they had (€8 per glass).
Again, the food itself was no issue. The food tasted very nice. The way they present the dishes and do their service is very misleading and ruined...
Read moreTerrible experience! We were very satisfied last year so we came back again this year. The first question from the staff was if we were going to eat or just go for a drink. Our first plan was to go for drinks only. So I told the attendant that we were only going for a drink. But that was probably a big mistake. We waited 25 minutes for our order. We had to ask for an ashtray several times. After waiting another 15 minutes with our drinks finished for the wait staff who kept walking by and not paying attention to us we decided to leave. We spent more time waiting to be paid. Finally I got up and went to the bar to pay. We were looking forward to having lots of drinks and spending the rest of the evening at this particular bar. Eventually, we wanted to get something to eat but the passive staff were absolutely not interested in that as much as they were in the fact that we had nothing to drink. The place is very nice, the drinks were great, the food the waiters brought looked very good too. It's a great shame that such a nice place has its reputation ruined by...
Read moreWell at first it look like a cosy lounge wine place, but after all, once we ordered our diner they stoped the music to turn up the volume of the tv for a football match for 2 costumer who where drinking there beer… Once we got served, the food was ok but the quantity for the price is just ridiculous…! And when the bill arrived how surprised we were to see that they charged us 9€ for an ailoli (so tiny and not good (more a mayonnaise with garlic in it that a proper ailioli) that I can’t discrib it with 8 olives and 3 pieces on bread!!! the price wasn’t on the menu (for a good reason I guess now).
When you see the quality and quantity of the food (not bad) but expensive, the cosyness gone with a football match and you had that extra charge on top of it..(Nassau is charging the seam price but it delicious and with a good quantity and the location…)the experience was really frustrating and felt like a tourist trap… Not bad, but for that price you can have way far much better at...
