La Oliva — Restaurant in Ibiza

What started as a nice evening in Olivia restaurant last night didn’t end well, a nice setting, tables very tightly packed but a great atmosphere, there were 8 of us all in a fun and polite mood, The food, not cheap but not crazy was a total disappointment, my fillet steak was served warm with no peppered sauce which wasn’t delivered until it was too cold to eat the rest, very disappointing , my friends lamb, also 35 euros was too fatty to eat simply not edible so he left it, there was other similar feed back from friends around the table, we discussed this politely with Nouri the waitress who was lovely , she suggested they would give us a free bottle of wine, a welcomed and acceptable gesture, Next a young male waiter came and delivered a bottle of Prosecco with Prosecco glasses , I stood up and said we didn’t drink Prosecco, he pushed a Prosecco glasses into my chest told me to ‘shut up’ and ‘sit down’ , who did you think your talking to I said,

A bottle of wine would have been acceptable but to be palmed off with Prosecco was quite insulting

The mood changed quickly and higher management engaged whi were calculated and quite viscous, We said we were happy to pay the bill minus 2 plates around 600 euros but they instructed us to stay where we were until the police arrived which they did within 10minutes

Two totally macho policemen turned up who instantly showed their authority by demanding our ID, they simply weren’t interested in the facts only to confirm ‘your in Spain now, pay your bill in full or I will arrest you’ very disappointing indeed, choose another restaurant if I were you the food is well below average and if you speak up...

TERRIBLE! Don’t go here! BEWARE: I am absolutely astonished on what I had to experience in my visit to this restaurant last month. I saw how the manager (the less professional person I have ever seen) and his team mistreated a party of four nice guests because they wanted to order dessert after the 2 hour timing as they decided the table has to be used. Being in the restaurant I wrote on Instagram, where they never have the decency to reply in comments or messages, but what a surprise they deleted my messages and blocked me! This people believe they can physically and verbally attack their clients because of the supposed fame they have. They lack class and manners. His behavior is disrespectful and inattentive against all good manners. They failed to comply with Spanish law by not giving the client the claim paper that they requested, as is their right. I don't understand how those people paid for their dinner. I would not have done it and I invite everyone to stop going to this restaurant in Ibiza. It is outrageous what they did!! I hope they got sanctioned. Anyone can help me to make authorities know about this? So So bad! The manager instead of dealing with the situation and calming everything, was the worst and most agresive of all, almost wanting to hit the costumers. After that me and my partner talked to this 4 people to understand what was happening and we promise them we will write a bad review. WORST...

We were very excited about this restaurant since the moment we booked our holiday in Ibiza as travel guides and social highly recommended this place. After sending email , to ensure reservation we didn’t get reply. Once we were in ibiza , we called several times and they told us that they were fully booked. I prompted when would be the next availability, and finally we got a table for 2 a week from the moment I was making the phone call to book a table. Travelling 40 mins from ibiza north, to arrive to the restaurant . Everything seemed very chaotic , and I asked one of the guys we got a reservation. His manners and client service was kind of rude. He didn’t look at me at any moment . Just concentrated on what was going on around . He finally came back to us to tell us our reservation wasn’t on the books , if we were sure we reserved the table , and again , not even looking at me. He offered to wait for a table to become available but the overall experience put us off and we left .
