I made the rookie mistake of not reading the reviews before heading to Roto Ibiza. What unfolded was a total nightmare from the moment we walked in. We were “greeted” by a waitress whose attitude stank, setting the tone for an evening that felt less like dinner and more like a hostage situation. Honestly, I’ve received warmer welcomes at a drive-thru window mcdonalds.
All you have to do is look at the reviews to realise this establaishment is clearly aware of how bad they are but because of its locations clears up with the rich one timers.
I have NEVER seen somewhere so badly reviewed with such passion because this place is truly a shambles.
Yes, the view was stunning, but that’s where any positives end. We waited a full 30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged our table, and when we finally flagged someone down to order drinks, we were handed dirty glasses. Their excuse? “The salt in Ibiza’s water.” Really? Blaming the island for your inability to wash glassware is as laughable as it is offensive.
As for the food, it was a complete letdown—overpriced, uninspired, and utterly mediocre. With prices like these, the food should at least attempt to be good. Service was a disaster, too. Not once did anyone pour our wine, and clearing our plates? Another 30-minute wait for that, too. It’s as if they take pleasure in keeping customers waiting.
The absolute low point? The bathrooms. They were disgusting—no seats on the toilets, and half the doors didn’t even lock. I’ve seen cleaner facilities at gas stations.
Roto Ibiza is a perfect example of how even the most beautiful location can be ruined by incompetent management and abysmal service. I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy. Do yourself a favour: skip Roto and spend your hard-earned money somewhere that actually...

We got to our reservation about 10 minutes early, the front hostess working tonight was not rude but definitely not welcoming, seemed as if we were getting rushed. Once we were seated, I asked for the servers recommendation and told them I was looking for a sushi recommendation. He goes to give me his two tops recommendations and I ordered BOTH of them… When the dishes came out, there was THREE sushi orders. I politely told him that I did not order the third and that I had only ordered his recommendations which were two. He offered to take it back to the kitchen, but he rudely said that he would need to still charge me for it… I really didn’t mind just paying for the sushi, but it was his attitude that made everything unwelcoming.
The overall vibe was nice until the table on the other side had a birthday celebration, and the waiters all came out with little candle fire crackers, and one of them put one out right next to me and had all the smoke coming in my face. I was sitting at the table to the right of the bar upstairs, and even the lady working at the bar seems surprised that the server had put the candle out literally next to me as we were eating, she asked them to move it from there.
When I got my receipt, i believe it said the server’s name was Jordi, however I cannot confirm if that was the name of the original waiter that was rude or the other waiter that was sent afterwards as a...
English : Until now, on all my trips to Ibiza the dinner at the prestigious Roto restaurant in La Marina was a must. The guests who know Roto's food know that it is sensational, it has its price but it is worth it because it is an exquisite delicacy. This trip, unfortunately, was a great disappointment .... The service/staff attention already started off regular, since we were waiting outside to be served so that we could be escorted to our reserved table and despite the fact that 4-5 waiters passed by, no one paid attention to us. At this point, it must be said that it is simply respectful to briefly greet customers, even if they are not responsible for seating them. After being escorted to our table, we ordered the starters and as expected, everything was very exquisite. But after the starters the service completely forgot to bring us the main course. We waited for almost half an hour, nobody came by to ask if we needed anything, they took away our empty wine glass without asking if we wanted to order more and when we asked where our main courses were, they were very surprised, saying they thought we had already finished. After the main course (which was quite disappointing - cold dishes, lukewarm food) we ordered dessert. In advance I had contacted the restaurant by email and asked them to put a candle in the dessert, as we were celebrating our friend's birthday. Twice I had to write to them and twice they confirmed that they had noticed it in my reservation. Well, when the dessert arrived we saw that it came WITHOUT a candle and that was another disappointment .... I must say that it is always a shame when the food in a prestigious restaurant is delicious and the service spoils everything, leaving you with a bad taste in your mouth.... unfortunately we left very disappointed and as the name itself indicates “broken”.... I hope that in the future they don't get worse and learn from their...
