Me and my fiancé came here for lunch on a whim (we are usually planners). We were attended too and sat down quickly - initially we wanted a seat further in where it was cooler but we were sat on the outer part despite countless empty tables. We asked for an English menu and were given a German one then left alone. We looked for our own and we’re visibly struggling but after being forgotten about we took a picture of the outside menu which went unnoticed. I did feel rushed then after and we were asked to order 2 times before we were ready (but I understand this because we were both looking at my partners phone). After ordering my partners food (special chow mein and egg fried rice) came out in MINUTES which I found quite unsettling. The food was Luke warm and he instantly was a bit suspicious of it but we shrugged it off. After a further 30 minutes of waiting my food came out (dancing dragon sushi roll) I’m glad to say this was the saving grace of the restaurant the sushi is excellent. The wait between mine and my partners meal was not- he had practically finished his while I was still waiting for mine. I also feel the food is somewhat overpriced for what it is. We ended up spending over €40 for a small side and two main meals (we just had water for drinks). My main grievance with this place is that my partner has now got food poisoning and this is the only place we haven’t shared food our entire trip. I do believe the chow mein gave him food poisoning. The atmosphere was ok. Very dark, some of the staff were shouting but the lady who served us was friendly enough. There was a lovely family who seemed very happy with their service and meal so this may have just been our opinion but the food poisoning is inexcusable. I wouldn’t eat here again despite the...
Read moreI have to say I had a bad experience eating here. The food was also not great and definitely not authentic.
But my main problem is the waitress did so many mistakes and she doesnt speak English well:
I ordered a chrysantemum tea and I got a mint tea. When I said Chrysantemun she didn't seem to understand even though it's in the English menu. Firstly, I tried to order a chicken dish and after learning that the rice is not included, I changed it to a noodle dish. She did not understand and gave me both dishes at same time. Fortunately, she took the chicken away without problem. She charged me 5 EUR for Royal Coffee for my 1.5 EUR Chrysantemum tea and unfortunately I paid without really looking at the bill. When I realized that I was overcharged, I complained and she gave me a refund but the amount was wrong as well and I had to argue and did recalculation until she understood the refund amount was wrong.
Too many "accidental" mistakes so it ruined my dining experience. I wish I picked...
Read moreDrove from our hotel in Caleta de Fuste Stopped here for a late lunch 10th February. This restaurant was quiet. Heaven knows why? IT WAS EXCELLENT From the warm welcome we had and the quality of the food. It is my belief you will enjoy a visit to this place. I have been very fortunate to have travelled the world visiting Australia China Japan Indonesia Thailand USA and many other countries in Europe and the African and Indian continents and like to think I know good food and service when I see it. I dont believe you will be disappointed should you decide to visit here. Corralejo has a gem of a restaurant. The food in this restaurant was excellent in freshness taste presentation and value for money. I confirm I have no connection with this place other than being a very satisfied and rather well fed customer. Our waitress was only too happy to advise on the...
