Poke Cotillo — Restaurant in La Oliva

End of day nourishing cost effective meal, we have eaten here a couple of times now, providing a consistent level of food quality and service, they do close for the ending about, 6 pm, each time we have been one of the last few customers of the day. Food has been great just what you need after a day on the beach and in the sea., I marked down the atmosphere due to the lack of other people at the time we ate, which to be fair was as I stated late in the day. If you can't manage it all, a take out box is always available to finish the meal off later or part of a salad...

i came to this complex to find some lunch for the beach, and i was over the moon to find this place. they had an array of vegan options to build a poke bowl, but i chose to have the maldive poke bowl (quinoa, guacamole, carrots, seaweed, onion, sesame seeds, red pepper) which was gorgeous. really refreshing, flavoured perfectly, brilliant price for the quality of food. the interior is decorated like a little tiki beach hut & i really wish i could’ve dined in to try...

Habíamos leído muy buenas opiniones de este sitio, y como nos encanta el poke, aprovechando que fuimos a El Cotillo nos decidimos a probar. La atención es buena y el personal es muy amable, posiblemente sea eso lo mejor del local; en cuanto a la comida, tienen una extensa variedad de pokes pero optamos por elegir a nuestro gusto; en el mío creemos que se equivocaron, y en lugar de cebollino me pusieron un montón de cebolla, que no puedo tomarla por cuestiones de salud. Tampoco entendimos muy bien el motivo de añadir una salsa cremosa, algo que no hemos visto en otros poke y que lo único que hace es camuflar el sabor original del ingrediente fresco (salvo que eso sea lo que buscan), que es la esencia de un buen poke. Los pokes estaban bien de sabor pero, sinceramente, los hemos probado mejores en la isla, y comparados con los que hay en Corralejo son más caros y dan menos cantidad: en los locales de poke de Corralejo, somos incapaces de acabar un poke mediano (el más grande); aquí pedimos 2 medianos, y ambos nos quedamos con hambre 🤷‍♂️ Total por 2 pokes medianos y 2 bebidas, 28 euros.
