I was torn between a 3* & 4* rating as it was a mixed experience. The pr man was a typically firey mix of Italian & Spanish out going & hard working but perhaps with a little too much testosterone as he exploded at a passer by who responded to his invitation to dine with "I don't like Italian" he did apologise to us for his outburst as we were seated right out the front, but he couldn't help by continuing to explain his outburst in an aggressive manner. We ordered wine & then garlic prawns to share for starters & they were very tasty indeed. I ordered a fillet steak in porcini mushroom sauce which arrived in a timely fashion, unfortunately my wife had ordered a basic marguerrita pizza which there was no sign of. I waited a few minutes but as the plate was cold my meal was cooling off quickly & after getting the waiters attention I was forced to start & was half way through my meal before the pizza finally arrived amongst apologies which they seemed to blame on the pizza & not the kitchen itself (go figure). In fairness the food was very good overall but they just don't seem to be able to get the service right. I had to chase them for a bill having not been offered a sweet or coffee, I went into the restaurant & spoke to the manager about the service & again he was apologetic & offered us a drink of our choice as some compensation. I had a brandy & my wife had a white wine which she said was nicer than the bottle we had earlier which arrived quickly so a reasonable end after all. So to sum it up, a decent meal with service that could be well improved with better timing. Would I eat there again with so much choice available is still...
Read moreWent here tonight and ordered the salted sea bass was served grilled sea bass . The waiter said oh yes I made a mistake it will take 45 more mins but was not pleasant about it . My daughter ordered grilled sea bass on the childrenâs menu but the fish they served was not sea bass . I would avoid this restaurant as plenty of places to eat in that will give you what you ordered .
In response to their reply , I ordered the salted fish the grilled fish arrived I said this is not what I ordered , he then told me I would have to wait 45 mins I never said I was very hungry I did say but my daughter and husband have received their meal . I handed the fish back he refused to take it I ate the grilled fish . My daughter asked what her fish would be she was told sea bass which is her favourite fish when it arrived she questioned if it was sea bass and she was told it was definitely sea bass as she said it did not taste like sea bass . Now they say in their response it was grouper . This restaurant does not provide the correct food that is ordered and then alter the facts to suit themselves . âŹ2 discount for not getting what was ordered is not satisfactory. I see another review had...
Read moreThe Corralejo Restaurant is what is on the premises??? Anyway a large choice of food to be had here. A very warm and cheery staff from start to finish without question here. The place is located near to the square where there is a live group which normally starts about 815 ish. On the menu tonight: Mussels in a tomato sauce with a small bread to dip: came in a sizzling plate cooked with onions and sweet peppers. Absolutely loads. My worry was that the mussels would get over cooked but not the case. It was gorgeous. T bone steak: more like a Fred flintstone âT Rexâ steak. It was massive. Medium rare and was Devine. No grissly bits and cut brilliantly. Came with roast potatoes and slices of veg- not keen of the slices veg. And I love veg. Also a small tub shaped rice. Nice touch. Price wise it wasnât cheap or expensive given the size of the steak and portions. Overall a very good meal with a very pleasant and tentative staff. Crit: the long cut veg def...
