TALK OF THE TOWN — Restaurant in La Oliva

Come on holiday with my family for 16 days we were told theres a nice karaoke bar called Talk of the town when we went the husband very friendly and welcoming went to the bar and the wife was rude not inviting ordered some drinks tried to make conversation shes wasn't interested we left, went back a second time just to give it another shot and the same again husband really nice the wife clearly has a issue with coloured people very rude and arrogant will never go back again racism in 2022 still is sad

Well im sorry i asked a question we was told karaoke started between 9.30pm 10pm yes i asked you what time when i arrived and didn't know it was illegal to asked again abit later down some people do have invisible disabilities i.e short term memory loss ect so forgive me for that..... Manners and respect do come free if brought up correctly and as being host and running a bar I'm pretty sure you probably get loads of customers asking question.., once again 'didnt know it was a crime.... And in regards to the racism i stand firmly the landlady has no people skills and MOST DEFINITELY HAS A ISSUE WITH COLOURED PEOPLE,. Im not one to go around leaving reviews for fun and definitely know how i was treated and how i was treated, along with other customers who also felt it necessary to approach myself and say they had too noticed the arrogance and blunt behaviour...... As for going next door and being loud and whatever else its actually laughable as once i left your run down dirty establishment i actually wen back to my hotel as ur disgusting customer service and no people skill really upset me for a second time..so before you try to cover ur poor and unacceptable behaviour maybe try skip into reality and the 21st century the colour of our skin makes us no different...

Couldn't mark the food as didnt have any. What can I say about this bar, well they made my holiday. I was on my own getting over a bereavement, I stayed over the road at the H10 Ocean Dunas. As I haven't been to Fuerteventura before, I didn't want to go to far. So I walked into the Talk Of The Town, and the atmosphere, people, and management made me feel right at home, I liked it that much ,I was I there every night for my 1 week holiday. I met some really lovely families, had a great time, doing what I love singing. Had fun doing the pop quizes. September 2024: Stopped by for a drink during our stay in Corralejo. Staff friendly and drinks reasonably priced. Selection of beer and cider on draught with bottled selection also available. Plenty of TVs for sports games and a large seating area inside and out. Good views of the TVs regardless of where you are sat which is a great benefit. Whole venue is below ground level - the inside seating area was quite hot and stuffy but 'outside' seating area was nice. As the venue is below ground level it does get dark quickly and relies on artificial lighting. Nice place, would recommend a visit if...
