Sunset Beach Bar — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

An absolute gem. From the outside, Sunset Bar blends in with the other restaurants and bars along Playa Grande but if you give it a try, you will not regret it! I first came here to make use of the pool table which is only €1 per game - a better deal than at other nearby bars. Over time I have discovered the fantastic welcome from Mateo and Cristian behind the bar, a variety of food dishes cooked to a very high standard including fantastic Napoli style pizza, plus Cristian's delicious and perhaps slightly dangerous cocktails (his margaritas are killer but will knock your block off if you're not careful)! Recently they have added a pinball table/flipper which is something I have not seen anywhere else in Las Palmas. And now there is a retro gaming console offering all your childhood favourites. It's great to get together at the bar for some beers and 4-player Mario Kart. Perhaps best of all, it offers the experience of a great neighbourhood bar in New York - if you want to sit at the bar and hang out with the bartenders and chat with new people while enjoying a drink, this is a great place to do it with a nice mix of locals, expats, nomads...

Mi experiencia en este restaurante ha sido extremadamente decepcionante y frustrante. Organizamos una reunión para 35 personas con la expectativa de disfrutar de un menú anunciado a un precio de 35€ por menú, según lo indicaba claramente el cartel publicitario del establecimiento. Sin embargo, al llegar el momento de abonar la cuenta, nos enfrentamos a una situación completamente distinta y extremadamente desagradable.

Contrario a lo que se prometía en la publicidad, nos informaron que el precio de 35€ por menú anunciado no se aplicaba. En su lugar, nos dijeron que el costo real de cada menú era de 140€, lo que multiplicaba por cuatro el precio originalmente esperado. Esta discrepancia entre lo promocionado y lo cobrado es inaceptable y constituye una flagrante violación de la confianza del cliente.

La falta de transparencia y la manipulación de la información sobre los precios son prácticas comerciales deshonestas y engañosas que no pueden ser toleradas. Nos sentimos profundamente defraudados y perjudicados por esta situación, ya que nos vimos obligados a pagar una cantidad considerablemente mayor de la que habíamos presupuestado inicialmente.

En resumen, este restaurante ha demostrado una falta de integridad y respeto hacia sus clientes al engañarlos con respecto a los precios de sus menús. No puedo recomendar este establecimiento a nadie y espero que tomen medidas inmediatas para rectificar esta situación y evitar que otros clientes sean víctimas de su engaño...

Everything was wonderful. We’ve been welcome by Cristina, she explained us everything we needed about food and drinks.
