La Quintonería Majareta (Centro) — Restaurant in Málaga

They mixed up my order and 10 min after bringing the wrong thing they apologised and brought the correct one. They charged us for both. The waiter argued with us for a good while that as we ate both the dishes, that we must pay for both. We said that we did not order both so we do not want to pay for both. On top of that it was pitufu(?) which was a type of sandwich we had never eaten before so we did not know what it looked like. He said that if we had left the wrong dish untouched on our table for the 10 minutes before they came back with the right one, that THEN they would not have charged us. (What would they have done with a warm sandwich that had sat on our table for 10 minutes? Serve it to the next customer??) After arguing with us for a while that the reason we had to pay was the fact that we had started eating the wrong dish before the right one arrived, he changed his story and said that if we don’t pay for the wrong sandwich as well, it will be taken off his salary. A nice place for a quick bite - The place is pretty large, has a relaxed atmosphere, and provides enough sitting even in busy times. (We can Sunday around dinner time). Our waiter was nice and quick to get our order (although he got some of the order wrong). Food came fairly quickly (except for the dessert - that took a bit).

We decided to try one of each of the camperitos (I personally didn’t like the one with calamari and the one with shrimp) but the rest were decent. Also tried the mini burger and it was actually very tasty ! The chocolate dessert was exactly what I expected - small but a great bite to end The night.

Would I come back ? if I want a quick bite - but with the variety in the area, I would wait some time to come back.

From this place I have very contradictory feelings, friendlier service would certainly make the place more pleasant. You don't want to look at such a fed-up person at breakfast. I visited twice this place for breakfast during my stay in Malaga. Both times there was sour-faced waitress who barely even said hello.
