Surprised at the quality and service!

It's right in tourist central with staff out the front hustling people to get them in, so with that and the area it's in, I wasn't expecting g anything special. I was expecting standard tourist trap with mediocre food and service.

But I'm glad to say I was wrong!

We had a small table right outside at the front so we could people watch, and the street was heaving with people, and we just wanted a drink or two and a couple of small bites before moving on.

The staff were ridiculously friendly and yes always busy, but you could flag them down quite easily and you weren't made to feel like an inconvenience.

The beer was cold and the food... Surprisingly good! I didn't expect it to be because it just looks like a generic chain restaurant, but I was really happy to see Cadiz style chichirrones on the menu, and it was really yum.

We also ordered the tuna tartar, it was tuna season after all, and that was amazing as well!

I went in with low expectations as it's such a full on tourist place but I'm happy to be proved wrong! All the food was delicious and made with care.

Why they sell Paulaner beer though I don't know... I guess for the German tourists but the Spanish beers are the best in Spain!

Dropped a star on atmosphere for all the outside smokers... it was like being back in 2003. Hair and clothes stank afterwards for the first...

Me and my two friends were sitting at the terrace of this place. One of the workers spilt 4 cocktails on my friend, what can happen. After, no apology or anything (towel to clean herself). The manager put his thumb up after seeing what happend. Not even walking over to ask if everything is okay. I had to ask another coworker if she was still getting towels or an apology. The manager came over (spoke no english) and said a hasty sorry through google translate. I thought the manager would come up with a responsible solution but that was not the case. The coworker that dropped the cocktail didn’t even look back to see if my friend was alright. Then 5 minutes later my pants got stuck to the table with gum. I called for a worker and she said something along the line of “you ladies don’t have any luck today”. Again no apology or even being offert a new table. To clean the gum she was laughing as she didn’t know how to, neither did i. An other worker came over and cleaned the gum, i appreciate that. But the service here is horrible. After telling the manager again through google translate that we were not happy with the way they handled it. He responded that the table was not dirty and that humans can make mistakes. Again no apology. Our problem Wasn’t that the drinks were dropped but how they handled it after. And thinking he didn’t speak a word English he could ask us...

Pepe Revuelo is hands down one of my favorite spots in central Málaga. Located right in the heart of the city, it offers the perfect mix of vibrant atmosphere, great food, and people-watching opportunities. Whether you’re out with friends or just want to enjoy the buzz of the city, this is the place to be.

They serve amazing tapas – every dish is super tasty, beautifully presented, and the portions are surprisingly generous. From colorful hummus to flavorful octopus and loaded nachos, everything I’ve tried has been an absolute hit. The flavors are rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced.

I’ve been here three times now, and every visit has been just as good as the last. Honestly, I’ll always come back whenever I’m in Málaga. The staff is friendly and the whole place just gives off good vibes.

If you’re looking for a place to eat well, enjoy a great drink (like an Aperol Spritz!), and soak up the Málaga energy, Pepe...
