This place is very popular. It has a nice spot in a nice, quieter square. A large terrace area and some inside seating. The trouble is the staff is way overworked and always running around manically. So service suffers. We have visited about 3 or 4 times and have had vastly different experiences each time. We have sat outside at a table and waited to be served for around 10 mins and just left as they did not come and take our order. We tried inside the other day as it was busy so looked for a space inside. We were going to sit down when the waiter shouted that it was reserved. Ok. Is there anywhere else? He didn't bother to ask us. We saw another table and tried that. No shouting at us this time! We ordered a couple of tapas and some beers. They have a decent selection of craft beers in bottles. The albóndigas were the worst I have ever eaten in Spain. After 20 years living here on and off. The chicken curry was ok and my kid liked it. A bit kiddie style. We played some board games and they have a small book exchange too. So I think it's pot luck. We tried the cheese platter on a different day and the tacos too, which were good. That was the terrace area. So I think it's a question of ordering something they do well and hoping you can get served. The menu is slightly more adventurous than a lot of other menus. If you want a burrito or tacos try the little authentic Mexican place next door. It's just a window with some seats. But they are very nice ppl and the food was good. They sell beer too if you want a Mexican beer like a...

Or at least depends on the waitress.
WoW. Terrible terrible experience. Literally almost physically and verbally aggressed. Shamed, yelled at, and told to leave the place.
Disclaimer : I had been at this cafe before once, and it was fairly ok. Malaga doesn’t have many trendy Berlin-like style of cafe, so it stands out.
I today however had the unfortunate luck to be there while waitress described below is on service , tall, blonde, long hair (adding the description) . After they said they allowed dogs, my little 7KG pinscher was on my laps, or at some point nearby, playing with his toy, all other three waiters were ok with it, they came to my table to take the order and casually joked with the dog.
Then out of nowhere, the waitress described took it upon herself to yell from downstairs at me to tell me to put him on the floor, to which I replied “sure”. Even with the way she said it, I actually complied with the ‘rule’
She then came at my table to tell me again, mind you, my dog was already on the floor. She said she didn’t hear ‘sure’ and then got so close and so physically aggressive that I told her to leave me alone, to which she replied to “get out” So I left. On the way outside she made sure to follow every step, my dog was shaking, and insulted me.
I will take this with her manager. The level of entitlement, the lack of respect, talking down to people, coming so close and yelling in your face is unacceptable behavior. If you’re the manager, please...
Read moreThe food was delicious here and I'll definitely be back. It was excited to find a place that serves lunch before 1 or 1:30 PM (because my work schedule doesn't really "jive" with Spanish lunch hour, nor dinner hour). I verified with them via instagram message and asked if you can order lunch type food at 12 pm. They said yes. We went the next day at 12 noon and began to order lunch items (sweet potato fries, bulgur salad, cuban pulled pork sandwich). The waitress began to tell us that lunch wasn't served until 1 pm. I explained that someone told me that was not the case. She went to ask someone and then came back and said it was ok. I really recommend to make sure everyone at the restaurant is on the same page regarding the menu and the hours so that guests don't have to feel strange when ordering food. It even said literally on the menu that the lunch items are available all day. We really enjoyed the food and it was nice to be able to have lunch in the centro at noon and still have time to get on the bus back to Teatinos before I have to start work at 2 PM. Looking forward to dining...
