BAR BARROJA — Restaurant in Madrid

Looked like a nice place, so I stopped in with my son for a drink and maybe a tapa. As there was no one inside when we got there other than two guys playing with their phones, I asked the waitress if she could look for a sport or something to watch on the tele other than the news. She just gave me a dirty look and turned to (maybe the manager). He just said, "there's probably nothing on." No attempt. No, "Maybe, let me take a look for you." Nothing. So, we walked one block away, and the bartender kindly found us a tennis match to watch that wasn’t part of any paid sports channel. Terrible service. All you had to do was be kind and make an attempt. Hahaha. Movie theatre? Video club? What on earth are you talking about? Just show a little class and...

The food is very good! We had free snacks while waiting for our orders and they were nice. Nice food and drinks for its price. :) The meat was perfectly cooked and the cheese was great! We didn't take any dessert.

It was a busy night but the staff made sure we were being taken care of. The music playlist was modern and chill. Overall the ambiance inside is calm and it's spacious, which is nice.

We won't have the time to come back before we leave Madrid but we recommend it if you're looking for local,...

Corner location very near a friend's apartment and always packed, so ya gotta try it, right? Score...just like PSG defeating Barcelona the night we were there. Ring the bell 🎉

Tapas were as good as any in Madrid...see note above that the place is always packed...with good...
