I have been coming to this place every morning for breakfast for over a year and have even gone for lunch and tapas in the evening a few times. First of all the food is great. This is truly an authentic Spanish experience in the heart of the city center. You will find lots of locals and regulars frequenting here, and the food is outstanding and traditionally Spanish.
However, the best aspect of this place is the service and environment. Every morning, Karina and Shirley greet me and place my food in front of me without even ordering anymore. I’m greeted with a smile, and they both check in on me to make sure I’m doing well. They go above and beyond to make sure I’m happy, and it makes me come back each morning 😀
The evening staff is just as lovely. While I don’t know them all, Eddie, Goya, Augusto, and Paco always make sure I’m taken care of and deliver top notch service.
I absolutely love this place and would highly recommend to any visitor or local that is wanting a true authentic Spanish experience at an affordable price with great food...
Read moreOne of the worst experience i've had in my life. We had trouble finding a table for 7 (drinks & food) The waiter (kinda aged, white hair) was taking our order one step at a time. We ordered drinks, he left withiut saying a word, left us hanging then came back with the drinks. Then we ordered food, we took 7 plates to share, 2 weren't available however he never guided us to replace it with something else, no social skills no commercial skills took place in the convo. When the food arrived, we had 10 min to share it before he harassed us with the bill (unsplittable, we asked.) Terrible service, food was ok but not worth the price, wait was too long and the waiter was unfriendly at best. I recommend to avoid this place, as it does not make you appreciate the many dishes proposed...
Read moreThe place still maintains the vibes of a traditional madrileñan tavern as the other business from the same group. Service was ok, if not excepcional, but very much what you would expect in a traditional bar in Madrid, not trying to be your friend but taking care of your orders. I have a typical breakfast with coffee and a "mollete" (traditional andalusian rounded bread) with olive oil and tomato that was correct. Prices are a little skewed upwards for a "real" spaniard bar, but due the location and amount of tourist in the area it is not surprising. In any case they were not outrageous like in other fully tourist places and I will payed gladly just because they keep some...
