Had a wonderful visit to Burmet Arganzuela. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. I admit to having come to Spain without getting very good at the language so was incredibly grateful for the staff member who spoke English and who could help me with my food intolerances and dietary requirements. Google translate did help but I'm so grateful for the welcoming and friendly staff who were able to accommodate us walking in off the street. If you are confident speaking or writing in Spanish you can pre-book a table which I would recommend. We were lucky that we arrived straight after they opened so hadn't fully picked up for the evening yet. The relaxed and family friendly environment made the whole process easier and less stressful (as when ordering and organising food with dietary requirements can be anxiety inducing). Después de visitar su restaurante de Chamartín en 2020, del cual tenía muy buenos recuerdos, esperaba rememorar algo similar en este “nuevo” local. Pero, lamentablemente, no fue así.
La competencia es muy alta, y a día de hoy, hay mejores hamburgueserías en la ciudad (por no decir a nivel autonómico o nacional).
En nuestro caso, pedimos la Burger del Mes y la de Cecina de Wagyu.
Está última, si os gusta la trufa, os encantará. Eso si, al igual que en la burger del mes, el pan deja mucho que desear. En mi opinión, desmejora mucho a la hamburguesa. Y teniendo en cuenta el precio que presenta (18€), se merece que esta sea perfecta.
Respecto a la del Mes, no nos gustó absolutamente nada.
Primero, porque los ingredientes que lleva, opacaban por completo a la carne. La cual, por su “maduración”, debería ser la protagonista en todo momento.
Segundo, porque el curry de mango, no nos entusiasmó. Es la típica salsa que odias o amas. Por tanto, no apta para todos los paladares.
Y tercero, porque los torreznos no tenían la textura y el sabor esperado. Personalmente, no los hubiéramos incluido en la combinación. O al menos, no los hubiéramos presentado en tacos, sino en láminas finas para mejorar su bocado.
En definitivas, una burger aparentemente atractiva en carta, pero poco exitosa y satisfactoria en sabor. Sinceramente, tendríamos en cuenta por otras opciones.
Respecto al personal, chapó. Porque la atención y servicio fue increíble. Sin duda alguna, fue lo mejor de la experiencia. Así que, en ese aspecto, nuestras felicitaciones.
