CaboPalos Chillout Restaurante — Restaurant in Madrid

I can’t speak highly enough about Cabo Palos Taberna. First and foremost, the food is delicious and the best in Madrid. Throughout various weeks in Madrid, various weekly menu’s and various visits, I DID NOT have even one poor or average meal. Every single meal was incredible, authentic, and extremely fresh. The food is extremely unique and often with sophisticated recipes. The owner is very passionate about his dishes and takes time to create top class offerings each week. Additionally, each meal is cooked fresh (in sight) with authentic (and local) ingredients. Cabo Palos is as close to homemade as possible without being from your direct family. Being away from home, Cabo Palos was the most authentic and homemade meal I had by far. I really appreciated knowing the authenticity and freshness of each meal. There were many times I saw the owner hand deliver the ingredients into the restaurant. The dishes range across all options from various meats, seafood, vegetarian options, and (a lot) more. Their is certainly something for everyone. The portions are huge (even for lunch). You get one appetizer, one main meal, and one desert (with a beverage if you sit at the restaurant). Compared to the North American standard, you would assume the appetizer was your main meal and that’s it. Often, even just the appetizer is enough food to satisfy your hunger. It is certainly the best value for my money that I experienced in Madrid. The price is not beatable.

While the food is incredible, and the value is next to none, I want to acknowledge the staff. From the owner, to the waitress, to the chefs and the others, each are extremely kind and positive people. They always went out of their way to welcome me and make me feel at home. I want to call out Chele (the owner), Lucia, Rene, Nelson, Ludy and Cris. They are incredible people, very helpful, and always with a smile on their face. They truly make for an incredible experience at Cabo Palos. Even beyond service, it was incredible to get to know them as people. They are always looking out for you and want to make you happy. They also took the time to get to know me and always stopped by for a chat about my time in Madrid. If you are also a tourist, rest assured that their English is incredible!

Two recommendations: Make a reservation in advance as it can get busy and seating is limited. Visit their Instagram for photos of their weekly menu (this really helps you chose what you want to eat).

Thanks to each of you at Cabo Palos for the delicious meals the last couple of months. I came to Cabo Palos various times, had a different meal each time, and was always beyond satisfied each time. Cabo Palos exceeded all expectations.

¡Un lugar poco conocido, pero sin duda que vale la pena visitar! Mi Chico me trajo a almorzar a este sitio, porque lo había visitado con anterioridad, y le gustó bastante, confiando en su buen gusto, nos lanzamos al restaurante, y sin duda valió la pena.

🍽️La comida Estos son todos los platillos que pedimos, fueron para compartir, y esta es la descripción de cada uno con sus respectivas calificaciones: 🥗 tomate fresco, picado con cebolla y alcaparras: esta ensalada, sin duda es algo que nunca había probado, el tomate se sentía increíble y la presentación de las alcaparras fue única ya que te las entregaban con todo y el tallo, lo que para mí es muy original, es verdad que tiene pequeñas espinas, pero están bien cocidas, sólo recomendaría masticar con cuidado por originalidad y sabor para mí. Este platillo es un 8.5/10 🦀 croquetas artesanas de bechamel a la sartén y buey de mar: con un sabor sutil, pero rico, lo que más me gustó de este plato fue el tipo de empanado que usaron en el exterior era bastante crujiente, para mi gusto les hacía falta una salsa y un toque de sal, nosotros utilizamos el aderezo de la ensalada de tomate para acompañar las croquetas y quedó deliciosa la combinación este plato para mí es un 8.5/10 🍗 alitas de pollo de corral de campo picante (chile reaperX): éstas deberían llamarse alitas XXL, porque realmente son enormes, vienen con un aderezo dulce y ligeramente picante, para mí como mexicana, sin duda le hacía falta mucho más picante, pero teniendo en cuenta que el tipo de público para el que está diseñado es diferente al de México, es bastante aceptable, pero el sabor es increíble para mí estas alitas son un 9/10

💸Relación calidad precio: teniendo en cuenta que todo lo que te sirven, es fresco, muy bien preparado y súper bien servido este apartado se merece un 10. 📍Sitio: el sitio es algo fuera de lo común, no tiene un decorado de despampanante ni llamativo, incluso está escondido por eso. Para mí este apartado merece un 7.5 🕴🏻Servicio : En verdad pienso que una de las mejores cosas que tiene este Restaurante son sus empleados, todos y cada uno de ellos han sido de los más amables con los que me he topado en Madrid, muy pendientes del comensal, de sus necesidades, restricciones alimentarias, alergias, etc. incluso se tomaban el tiempo de decirte que si las alitas picantes te parecían muy picantes, tenía solución y te daban una recomendación de cómo acabar con el picor en la boca ,brutal este apartado, sin duda es un 10 🍽️Variedad del menú: es un menú bastante extenso, con aproximadamente 10 apartados y cada apartado con cuatro o cinco opciones diferentes, creo que hay de todo para todo tipo de gustos y necesidades nutricionales. Por eso este apartado para mí merece un 9

📝Siempre me pregunto al conocer un Restaurante si regresaría a el, y este es un rotundo ¡SI!, Me quedé con ganas de probar más, claro que necesito más estómago para poder comer todo lo que quisiera, porque los platillos son verdaderamente grandes, el dueño es súper amable, se tomó el tiempo de responder algunas de nuestras dudas, sobre de dónde venían los productos, es una pena que este sitio no sea tan conocido y visible, pero si estás pensando en visitarlo no te vas a arrepentir en general para mí este sitio merece...

We we're staying in a B&B nearby so we decided tò dine here given the good reviews. Unfortunately the quality of the food was well below our expectations. We had 2 different appetizers, both of them were full of a sauce that covered the flavour of the food. The same happened with one of the main plates, a sort of burrito. The other plate was luckily saved from the wrath of the sauce and we enjoied it. A pity, because the ambient Is cool and the menu offers a wide variety of plates (no english menu, be advised). The price was also exxagerated for the quality of the food: 62 euros for the above, 2 small beers and 1 water Is eccessive since you're not in the most touristic part...
