Cazorla — Restaurant in Madrid

Undoubtedly a 5* star experience - such high standards of cleanliness, quality of food, wine (by the glass too) and service.

We arrived before the lights were turned on ... 7.30pm opening times seem common practice throughout Madrid (outside of the tourist traps).

We asked for an English menu and then started practicing our Spanish... Once we started speaking Spanish it was a wonderful experience and the staff really warmed to us! Effort is everything. The food portions are large, the glasses of wine very generous and the food prepared and cooked to perfection. We ordered 4 dishes (one we were given by mistake however my partner wouldn't let it go 😅) We were surrounded by locals in a very relaxed environment 😁 the staff were very friendly and very accommodating.

We will probably visit again during our stay...

Best jamon iberico ever tried in restaurant! Cool waiters and really nice service! Honestly they tried to make us feel comfortable rather than "sell " to 2 gringos 😁 Ambient is quite small but got filled really quickly - kinda felt like all were one family but little more comfort would be preferable. Overall, they are very good and would definitely recommend if you ever visit downtown Madrid! They are worth every second spend! Pic speaks...

Taberna andaluza con una gran relación calidad-precio. Tienen una amplia variedad de platos con muchos tipicos de Andalucía. Las gambas estaban espectaculares, tenían muchísimo sabor. Los calamares y el pulpo muy buenos tambien. Las croquetas me sorprendieron mucho, me las esperaba normales y están muy por encima de la media que te encuentras en restaurantes mas 'lujosos'. El entrecote correcto y las papas sabrosas y crujientes. Sinceramente no hay nada que no cumpla aqui. Tiene una carta de vino corta pero me encantó porque encontré vinos de todo tipos de precio que conocía... eso para mi es lo que representa una buena carta de vino. El servicio es bueno aunque a veces van algo desbordados ya que el restaurante siempre esta lleno. La oferta de postres la prodrian mejorar la verdad y los postres en si tambien... es la unica 'pega' que les pongo. En definitiva un buen sitio donde ir a comer con familia o amigos. Si vas en grupo esta de lujo porque puedes probar muchos platos que es para mi la gracia de este restaurante por el tipo de platos. Tienen varios restaurantes por todo... si no recuerdo mal 4 o 5. También tiene una zona en la barra fantastica para picar algo de manera...
