The good: the food. We ordered Gyros, which was not mentioned on the menu. But the staff was willing to cook this dish for us. Which we see as a nice gesture. The gyros tasted authentic and was served with tomato sauce, flat bread, and fresh tomato salad. The portion was large enough to share with two. We also assumed that the Gyros would be served with tzaziki, but this was missing and obviously replaced by the mashed tomato sauce.

The waiters only spoke a few words English. Friendly overall.

Buen sitio para comer pegado al Retiro a un precio asequible.

Localización: Ubicado a 100 metros de la puerta lateral del Retiro, comimos en la terraza porque el restaurante en su interior es muy pequeño, apenas 3 mesas altas. Tuvimos mucha suerte y el camarero fue muy amable por ponernos una mesa cuando no había espacio e íbamos sin reserva. La terraza está situada en el paseo central de la Avenida, por lo que los camareros tienen que cruzar la calle infinidad de veces al día, con el riesgo que conlleva de atropello de coches. Dispone de 2 sombrillas grandes que no dan sombra a todas las mesas. Si tienes suerte, no te pega el sol.

Servicio: Sin mantelería ni tapetes, te sirven el plato directamente sobre la mesa, lo cual yo mejoraría. Camareros muy rápidos que no te hacen esperar nada, hasta el punto que puedes llegar a sentir algo de agobio. Nos sirvieron el entrante y sin haberlo terminado, los principales. Aquí fue donde sentimos el agobio de extrema rapidez. Los camareros muy amables y atentos en todo momento, te atienden con simpatía y alegría.

Comida: Elegimos de entrante Halloumi (queso feta plancha) el cual estaba bueno y el plato era contundente ya que venían 5 piezas de queso. El problema de este plato si no se sirve sobre una base caliente es que al enfriarse se vuelve chicle al masticar. De principales, Moussaka muy buena y sabrosa muy contundente en cantidad. Gyros de pollo loncheado algo seco sobre pan de pita con cantidad para 2 o incluso 3 personas. Recomiendo sea para compartir. Souvlaki de Cordero fuera de carta bastante tierno sobre pita. De los 3 platos, recomiendo la Moussaka , el resto son platos que no destacan.

Limpieza: Baños y mobiliario muy limpios.

I think they are buying reviews so don't get scammed. People that managed to rate this place 4.8/5 either never been to a good authenthic Greek restaurant or have zero standard. Awfully located with a busy street in between, unfriendly staff, very very basic food that I'd rate a strong 4 out of 10. If you have zero standard you'll love this place. If you've ever been to a good Greek restaurant you will feel offended...
