FUN FUN natural wine from spain — Restaurant in Madrid

This is my 2nd time at Fun Fun Wine Bar— I was so excited to come back after a couple years of not going. The place is very quaint and cosy, and it was packed for the size on a Friday Night.

I dont know what was going on with the women working there, but the one that attended us was so extremely rude and inhospitable, the entire vibe was ruined. Negative energy right away and I felt like we were bothering them being paying clients looking to have a couple glasses of wine (…???) even my boyfriend noticed.

Keep in mind we were regular, polite, customers interested in having a cute drink at what used to be one of my favorite places, but that whole experience yesterday was awful and nasty.

Literally I felt awkward asking about the wines or asking for recommendations because of how rude the woman was and how weird I felt. Keep in mind this whole interaction is in spanish (not my first language) and the first thing she said to us when we sat down was “OH! English right?”

Horrible vibes, im taking my dollars...

What a special place! Perfect place to sit and chat over wonderful natural wine. My partner and I absolutely loved it, and have been twice on our holiday - on our way there again tonight! If you ask them to recommend a wine (white, orange or red) they bring over 2 or 3 of their favourites for you to try before you decide what you would like a glass of. This might be customary in some places in Spain and other countries but definitely is not in England, so it was a really nice touch for us, we’ve also not had this anywhere else while we have been in Madrid. We had some small plates, would highly recommend the babaganoush, and the sharing platter with 2 vegan cheeses. Phenomenal quality. Would highly recommend for anyone who already loves natural wine, wants to get into it, or even if you’ve never tried it, please go here because...

This has just became one of my favorites in Madrid without doubt! Total different vibe for most of the places in Madrid.. i’d say it makes you feel you are in Berlin (the decoration & style). The service is outstanding - the girls will first of all, bring you a glass of water upon arrival.Then, explain about the wine and make you try some (based on your orientation -white, rose,red-). And, which for me is a huge plus, they will make sure you are drinking water all night long. The red wine we tried was superb compared to what more natural wines taste like.
