Gil's Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Madrid

I went to Gil’s on a Saturday night, fully expecting a crowd, but it was overwhelming — way too packed for my liking. The sheer number of people made it almost uncomfortable to stay.

That said, the cocktails were exceptional, clearly crafted with great skill. I tried two, and both were absolutely delicious. I’d love to come back on a quieter night to fully enjoy the experience.

A place of potential, let down by very poor cocktails and an inability to be creative off the fixed and simple menu. Strawberry or Raspberry Daiquiri forget it. If you want a gin and tonic come here. But do not expect anything special despite the lovely set up and surroundings.

Bartenders are experts at their craft, very friendly as they greet every customer that comes through the door.
