I've been to this cafe many times while I have lived in Madrid and normally had a nice experience. I am a student and like to do a bit of my reading for class while I eat. I do my reading on my laptop and I always have respected their laptop policy (you can't use laptops at their tables but can use you laptop on the long counter with stools). I never stay longer than maybe 30-45 minutes. If they have a sign telling you of this policy I haven't seen it. Today I was doing some reading and had ordered some food and a coffee. I did some reading while I waited. Finally a man working there brought over my coffee and in a really rude tone told me that today is a holiday (obviously I was aware that it is a holiday today) and I can't use my laptop there. Ridiculous that they change the policy for one day. In a snobby way he then said I could use it for another 30 minutes but then I would have to put it away. I only intended to eat my sandwich quickly and leave anyway. I understand that cafes don't want people remote working from their space for hours on end and need to have a policy, but you really should find a nicer way of communicating this to people, and not assuming that everyone with a laptop is there to take advantage...

But the açai bowl was a big disappointment: they stretched it with so much banana that the characteristic açai taste got completely lost. The cinnamon roll was fine but not memorable. The interior has a minimal Scandinavian design that looks better in the pictures than in real life. Prices are normal for the...
Read moreStarting with what I liked, the place is very aesthetic, it is really nicely decorated and has a very good vibe. The people are very nice and helpful. Brunch options are available until 6pm which I really appreciate. And on Saturdays you are not allowed to use your laptop. However, I been a couple of times, and I have tried the Turkish eggs and the avocado toast and they were not very good. The avocado toast was done with an unripe avocado, and the Turkish eggs were bland. I would come back for coffee but...
