What an unforgettable experience. It is hard to emphasize enough how good the service was. I am sorry to not remember the name of the lady who serviced our table, but she might have been the best I've ever seen in any restaurant. Super friendly - yet not intrusive, most welcoming, very knowledgable about the menu and the wines and most of all - patient (boy we had a lot of question about the meals we've been served). Based on several questions asked to each member of our table (4), we nodded to getting a custom tasting menu (3 without restrictions, 1 pescatarian - all 5 course menus). The menu was well balanced, all dishes were perfectly executed and some of the combinations really blew our minds. The highlights for us were the tomato salad with miso (what an explosion of flavours!) and tuna with asparagus and fresh horse raddish. The couliflower with fried calamari and bacon was just ridiculous, but in a great way. What underlined the restaurant's philosophy was how they responded when we wanted to order a second bottle of wine once we finished eating the menu: "Of course, take your time, we are not one of those places that are just turning tables". When we're back in Madrid, La Lloreria will be the only non-negotiable item in our itinerary. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience and we sincerely wish all the...

Really nice place belonging to what we could probably call the “new wave” of bar-restaurants now starting to proliferate in Madrid. Our experience was great, both with the food (a menu selected by the staff, adapted to our -previously discussed- constraints) and the service (very easy going)

Among the things we had was, first, a substitute of “bread & butter” with a (creamy) egg yolk cooked at low temperature playing the role of the butter, and then: (1) ostra con escabeche de alitas de pollo y zanahoria, (2) aguachile de calabacín y ciruelas, (3) coliflor, bacon y puntillas, (4) salteado de setas de temporada, (5) berenjena china con polenta italiana y pecorino romano, and (6) albóndigas de cordero con koji & plátano. All very good and original

As in places like Comparte or Puzzle, here you can find many thirty somethings with foodie inclinations (a very large urban tribe in Madrid these days). Anyway the staff makes things very informal and rather comfortable

They’re supposed to have an original wine selection (with plenty of natural options). My partner has a couple of Côte du Rhône glasees that she (apparently) enjoys. Beer is Damm (in several different varieties), so pretty standard

Had dinner last night at this small, unpretentious spot, no fuss, no ego, just really good food and genuinely great vibes. The kind of place where everyone pitches in with everything: cooking, serving, explaining the dishes… and they do it all seamlessly. Right from the start, they offered us two options: pick the dishes ourselves, or let them take the lead and surprise us based on a few questions about allergies and preferences. We obviously went for the second and it was 100% the right call. What followed was an incredible flavour journey, with each dish building on the last. About halfway through, they even checked in to see how hungry we still were, and adjusted things accordingly. The energy behind the bar was amazing, you can see everything being prepped and plated right in front of you. In such a tight space, the team moved around totally in sync, but always keeping an eye on the room and making sure everyone was looked after. In a city packed with restaurants, this one really stands out. It’s the kind of place you want to go back to every couple of months, knowing there’ll be something new and delicious waiting. Congratulations to the team. Can’t...

Google needs to correct settings for this restuarant. 5 stars is just not enough! This was our last meal in Madrid after spending 8 days in Spain. There is no way we could have expected anything as good as this. Not knowing what was coming next from the chef was both exciting and (to start) concerning. This concern went away after trying the first plate that was brought out. Wow! Every single plate (we had 6 plus dessert) was incredible. Both my wife and I felt like this was the best meal we had ever had. Kudos to the staff and the chefs. They have an incredible business. If you are interested, get reservations, it's a small restaurant. I'm including 4 pictures of items we had, sorry about missing the other 3, we were just so excited to try the food, I forgot to take the picture :). While we have the 7 plates, you do not have a set number, as our host told us, we could say stop at anytime. We just had a hard time as each plate was so good.

Very inventive and playful fusion cuisine. Since they offered half sized plates, the 3 of us at our table were able to try out their entire menu at a very affordable price. The highlights were the roasted cauliflower with indian curry-bacon bits-fried baby squids, the tomale with iberico ham-pumpkin seed-tuna neck and creme fresh, and the spanish peppers with croutons in a tomato sauce. The caujada (goats milk curd) dessert was quite delicate and refreshing as well. Good by the glass wine recommendations and they had a house made hibiscus non alcoholic drink that my daughter enjoyed. We were all stuffed full by the end of our meal, and it didn't take excessive long time to finish. Service was fantastic from our 2 servers and they spoke perfect English and was very accommodating to the diner's wishes, allergies, etc. Overall a very unique meal if you are willing to let the chefs take you on their journey of fusion cuisine around the world.
