Tucked away in one of Madrid’s charming neighborhoods, La Pasa Gin Bar is an absolute gem that pleasantly surprises from the moment you walk in. The fusion of Caribbean flavors with traditional Madrid cuisine is not only creative but genuinely delicious — each dish is a delightful journey through bold spices and comforting Spanish classics. One of the standout features of La Pasa is its incredible selection of gin — a mind-blowing 190 types! Whether you’re a seasoned gin lover or a curious beginner, this spot will definitely impress your palate. The staff is truly exceptional — warm, attentive, and eager to make your experience unforgettable. The atmosphere is equally inviting: the cozy and carefully curated décor makes you feel at home, blending rustic charm with a modern twist. What really made the evening special was the personal touch: the owner himself came out to say hello, a rare and heartwarming gesture that shows just how much love and care goes into this place. La Pasa Gin Bar is a true hidden treasure, and I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you're in it for the food, the drinks, or the ambiance — this little spot delivers...
Read moreAbsolutely loved everything about La Pasa Gin Bar! The place is beautifully decorated with a warm and inviting ambiance—something I wish we had more of back home in New York. The food was outstanding and very reasonably priced for the quality and experience.
We had the Garlic Prawns in a clay pot, and they were hands down the best I’ve ever had—even better than what I’ve had at traditional Spanish restaurants. The spices and garlic were perfectly balanced, making each bite unforgettable. We also ordered the Pan-Fried Picanha Loin with pepper sauce, and it was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and full of flavor.
The Ham and Boletus Croquettes were delicious as well, and the Margarita we ordered was well-crafted. Our server, Lorenzo, who also happens to be the owner, made the experience even more memorable. He’s been living in Madrid for over 25 years and clearly takes pride in his restaurant. Before we left, he even treated us to free shots of Mama Juana, which was such a kind and personal touch.
Can’t recommend this spot enough. Great food, great people, and...
Read moreMy Aunt Carmen and I visited Madrid for a week. We went to Adolpho’s place 3x’s. He is by far one of the most nicest, personable, hospitable human being I’ve ever met in my life. The first time we were there he made us feel so welcome. Gave us a few shots of his home made mamafungo ( sorry if my spelling is wrong ) on the house. Great conversation. The second time we went had a few glasses of wine and his cheesecake.. delicious!!! Third time was the night before we left and we just came for desert and he gave use two glasses of wine on the house. We’ve been to Spain twice once in Barcelona and then Madrid. He definitely makes me want to come back to Madrid just for the love and generosity. The ambiance so top tier hands down!! Thank you Adolpho for the wonderful time and...
