Restaurante Hangy BBQ Corean 韩宫宴 — Restaurant in Madrid

I hardly ever post reviews… but I do not recommend this restaurant. I did not see a single Korean person that can explain the menu, and the decoration or the food are not authentic. If you are Korean or someone that are familiar with korean food and looking to satisfy your craving… this is not the place. Just sort through any low review and you will see that many koreans have the same comments as me…

This is more amusing than anything… but the decorations mimic korean words but just random characters (sometimes misspelled) that do not mean anything

I did not find any authentic soup. When i ordered the tofu soup, what appears to be gochujang paste put into water then stirred with hard tofu came out… not authentic and do not taste good

When we walked in, the lady that worked there was sighing and so not happy to have us. Just vaguely told us to go sit somewhere.

Korean food banchan is a given. Instead, we were charged for it

I now understand the high rating because each table has a barcode that says if you leave a 5-star review, you get...

To be fair the meat was good.

BUT

The overall experience of a kbbq was just not to my liking.

You only have a limited choice of side dishes.

Service was not slow but wasnt as fast as i expected for a kbbq restaurant.

The meat was only marinated on one side of the beef (felt like they were maximizing their ingredient to save on cost)

And the the craziest thing about this kbbq restaurant is that:

They DO NOT serve gochujang The waitress did not know what gochujang is.

As a lover of kbbq this is outright disrespect to all kbbq restaurants out there.

If you are looking for authentic Korean food, this is NOT a place to be. A combination of the Chinese owner, weird use of Korean language on the wall, fake Korean foods was a nightmare. I would not go there again even if someone pays for me to so. I am Korean and feel I am very much violated and angry that my country is represented in this faulty way.

We told your employee that food is below mediocre + we left food as they were literally awful. Please do not pretend to be Korean because that is just lying, disgraceful and insulting.
