This is my first time in Madrid and I came here with my family. The waiter, Jota, was beyond rude to me. Being the only English speaker in my group I asked a question about the menu and he “shush”ed me. The best part was that he didn’t even know what dressing came on the salad and had to step away to ask many people who also didn’t know. How do you have a restaurant and the staff doesn’t know what is in the food. I work in the service industry and if I ever treated a client the way I was treated tonight I would have been fired. I really liked the atmosphere downstairs, but they made me move upstairs to the "salon." I'm not sure why they made me move. Maybe they thought I'd like it more? I didn't, because it was completely empty upstairs. There's nothing like going to a place alone, and then being sequestered to an empty room to make you reconsider your life choices.
The waiter was nice. He gave me a free beer. He wanted my...
