We went on a Sunday night in mid July around 7:30pm when many other venues were closed. They do have an English menu that explains each item. This is an authentic down-home local place, with a nice deli, interesting decor with hams hanging on all of the walls, and several Mahou beers on-tap. Wine bottles were in several refrigerators for your selection. Locals came and went, picking up carry out orders, getting deli items sliced, or having fresh sandwiches made at the deli counter. There were about 10 tables, the place isn't large but very "authentic local." Most tables were filled and people came and went regularly. The food was delicious and prepared in a timely manner. I had boiled pig knuckle with boiled potatoes and my partner had a combination platter with fried pork slices, calimari and fish croquettes with fries. All were excellent. Overall cost with 2 beers was E$23 (23 Euro). We sampled various other items such as the Sopa Castellan which is basically fried eggs, ham and bread in a soup broth. Overall, this is a decent local venue for a...
Read moreWe are a mature couple who arrived a Saturday night without reservation and got the last table. Attentive and quick servant and the beverages arrived soon. The menu card required a smartphone (QR) or access to the restaurants homepage. However, the friendy waiter will explain. We had a cheese and a cured ham plate, a combined hake fish-tortilla, water, beer, a bottle of white Rueda wine, coffee, licor pacharan, vermut. We were completely filled up and had enjoyed the whole night in this lively Spanish bar-restaurant. The price of 54 € was very fair compared to all we had...
Read moreThis is an amazing place to eat. The food was extremely delicious. They didn't have an open menu, just the "Special of the Day". I asked for "Solomillo a la asturiana" and it was to die for. The price was just €10 for the meat with french fries, bread, a first plate as entrée, I asked for a mix salad, and a beer. I doubt that another place can beat the price and the quality of the food. I will return this week...
