We ate here on the first night of our holiday to Madrid. We chose it because it has a gluten free menu and as a coeliac who does not speak Spanish, it is comforting to have a gluten free menu to choose from. The food was quite good, I'd say a bit overpriced but it is a capital city, so that'show things are. The Spanish don't seem big on serving vegetables, steak and chips is exactly that. The plate was so bare without any salad or vegetables, or even a sauce or garnish of any type. But still, the food was tasty and service good. 2 starters, 2 mains, and 4 Coca Colas came to over €90! Too expensive to frequent but OK for a one off.

It's a shame of a place. The place is well decorated and well located. The food can't say it's bad, but the service, especially cooking, is the worst I've ever seen. We have been more than two hours with horrible details such as the children being the last to eat (when we had cordially asked to prioritise their dishes). My freshly ordered burger was charred, dishes that came out without having ordered them and others that were ordered never arrived. The greatest example of how things are not done.. If you want to enjoy Madrid and its quality, don't stop by here.

We ate at Madrid Grill during our trip to Madrid in August 2019. First, we ordered a piece of pork. They brought us something that looked like beef so we called a waitress to ask her. She confirmed it wasn't pork and called the waitress who originally took our order, but she told us it was pork !!! We didn't want to make any problem and put the waitress in a bad position so we didn't return the plate and ate it. Well... BIG MISTAKE !!!! When the bill came, they had written the beef on it and it was around 10 euros more expensive than the other plate. We called the waitress (the one who confirmed it was pork) and explained the mistake. She called the manager who told us that if we didn't agree to pay that bill, he would call the police !!! And that's what he did !!!! We felt treated like criminals by that guy, just because he didn't want to recognize his mistake... and only for 10 euros !!!! The situation happened in front of our son who is now traumatized by the arrival of the police. Hopefully, the two officers were very professional. Unlike what the manager said, they didn't agree with him, tried to convince him but were powerless. To stop this traumatic experience for our son (and because we didn't want to make the situation a bigger scene that it already was), we paid the bill. However, we are still shocked by the behavior of the manager and his lack of honesty and professionalism and will definitely never eat in this restaurant ever again. But if you do, please check what is on your table is exactly what you ordered or you will have to...

In 2018, I came to Madrid and had a couple of nice meals here at the Madrid Grill. I came back to Madrid in 2023, and this restaurant has gone completely downhill. If you’re looking to get food poisoning, this is the place. We ordered Squid Croquettes, Chicken Quesadillas, Grilled Vegetables, and Grilled Octopus. After taking our order, the waiter came back to state that they could not do grilled vegetables, but they could do artichokes. We decided not to get the artichokes and just take the loss. At this point, my sister saw the chef go downstairs, come back upstairs with a grocery bag and take his place in the kitchen. That should have been our queue to run. Then the Squid Croquettes came out, and they were completely raw/undercooked. The inside was cold raw dough with tiny squid pieces while the outside was burnt. There was no seasoning besides salt. Next, the chicken quesadillas came out, and you could tell that it was not freshly made. Some kind of chicken and gravy mixture was put into the tortillas, so it was soggy and falling apart. Also, the only seasoning was salt. Then the grilled octopus arrived, and I absolutely LOVE grilled octopus. Unfortunately, this was beyond disgraceful. The octopus was still cold on the inside, tough, seasoned with chunks of mushed garlic, and served with microwaved potatoes that had no seasoning. My mother had two bites of the octopus, and later she got pretty sick. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. You will most definitely get sick if you eat here....

This was the worse experience I have ever had in any restaurants I have ever visited across the world. Other than the beautiful decor, nothing works for this place...

First, we were approach by young lady on the street advertising the place with a menu on hand...we were given 15% discount card. That should of been the first warning sign...

After seating for 2 mins...the waitress comes and serves us bread (this part is important)...we proceed to order 2 tortillas to share with our family of 4. We start nibbling at the bread, it was very hard..horrible, but I did not complain..

The tortillas were 4/10...kind of lame and expected more from a restaurant called "Madrid Grill"...

Then..here comes the surprise.. We ask for our bill...guess what we charged for??? The bread!!! Yes, the bread that we did not order and that was brought to the table!! When we notify the waiter..he arrogantly asks: "But...did you eat the bread??"

I was so appalled, I laughed out loud...and told him..I knew this would happen cause I read it in the reviews....so beware!! Plus the prices were so high...not worth it at all..

Plus there was another family nearby that I was observing... And they were not impressed with anything they ordered..they even returned one of their starters..

So..I would give it 0 star but, I can't..if I could, I would, cause that's what they deserve.

Plus...I think the high star reviews for this place are 100% fake. It's impossible..that place will close within 6 months..I...
